If you’re looking to get to know north Norfolk this summer, Archer’s Field is a great place to aim for. This quiet pop-up site is in a fabulous location to explore all the attractions of this gorgeous part of the world – it’s surrounded by countryside, about 15 minutes’ drive from the coast and within easy reach of both Norwich and the Broads National Park. This site is part of a farm that’s been in the same family for over 100 years – it was once a dairy farm, but while you’ll still see a few cows around the business has diversified into seasonal crops like asparagus, peonies and Christmas trees. With mature trees lining the camping meadow and wildlife also playing a part (deer, muntjac, tawny owls and egrets are frequent visitors) it all adds up to a pretty lovely backdrop for a rural break. There’s a laidback atmosphere on site too, with kids, dogs and barbecues all welcome and simple facilities stretching to just toilets, showers and a washing-up area. There are picnic tables too, but the team on site also recommend a walk to the pub in Aldborough for a meal and a drink. The local town of Aylsham (10 minutes’ drive) has a good bakery and café, a butchers and various other indie shops. The team back at the farm have plenty of other shopping and eating recommendations as well. And they’ll also have plenty of suggestions for those of you that like to walk – perhaps starting with the walk from the farm to Blickling Estate along parts of Weavers Way before taking on sections of the coast path around Cromer or Cley next the Sea.

Ik was niet blij met There were only 1 male and 1 female shower for the whole campsite. The cubicles were small and the shower curtain would stick to me. And obviously the floor was wet, and grassy.

Ik was blij met Nice quiet site. Clean toilets and showers. Plenty of room to choose your pitch from.
Electric hook up.
Friendly farmer checked on everyone each day.
Good location fir where we wanted to visit.

Ik was niet blij met Not a dislike as such but no signal for our phones to work. This was a problem in more remote villages.

Ik was blij met We had a lovely stay at this campsite 3 nights and would definitely recommend it!

The campsite was quiet, peaceful, and very welcoming. Peter, the owner, was incredibly friendly and warm. He came over to check if we needed anything, gave us helpful information about the local area, and was always happy to answer our questions. His hospitality really made us feel welcome.

Our electricity pitch was great, and the water facilities were very good. The picnic bench was another fantastic bonus. We were also given a fire pit free of charge, which our whole family absolutely loved. Sitting around the fire together was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. 🔥

There were two toilets, which were very clean and never busy.
We also loved that free-range eggs were available to buy, which were perfect for breakfast.

Our kids absolutely loved the campsite, and we all had a wonderful time. It is a lovely, peaceful, family-friendly place with a genuinely warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were very happy with our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended!

Ik was niet blij met The only small downside was having one washing-up area with cold water, but this wasn’t a major issue and we managed perfectly well. Also network is poor but great for us as we had screen break for 3 days.

Ik was blij met Stayed one night with one Campervan & one tent. Site is lovely and quiet. Toilets really clean and well stocked. Enjoyed our stay & would come back for a longer trip. Great you. A get fresh eggs from the farm across the road too. Nice and flat site, which was great for my disabled mum.

Ik was niet blij met We only stayed for one night at the weekend to scatter some family ashes, so would like to return for a longer stay.

Ik was blij met Very laid back and peaceful surroundings. Owner was very accommodating and greeted us on arrival. I would definitely return for another visit.
