  • Near Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads
  • Two parks in one: family-oriented and more quiet sections
  • Indoor and outdoor pools, gym, crazy golf, bar and restaurant
If you can’t decide whether to opt for an idle break or something a bit more lively, then have the best of both at Breydon Water Holiday Park, near Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads. It’s essentially two parks in one: the first is Yare Village, for those looking for an active, family-oriented vibe, with its toasty outdoor pool (open from May to September, weather permitting), crazy golf, and a buzzing schedule of sports, kids’ activities and evening entertainment. Just 10 minutes’ walk away is the more sedate Bure Village, where there’s an indoor pool and a fully-equipped gym. The site also has wifi in the Waterside bar and restaurant.

Liked: The only thing I liked was how you were allowed in the Restaurant with my dog.
Also the pitches were a nice size.

Disliked: But can't understand why my little dog was not allowed in the show bar.
As the dog was allowed near food .
But not allowed in where there is no food,
Also got rules to say your dog can't be left in motorhome alone.
So how are we suppose to have a nice holiday if we can't enjoy the entertainment
Also we even have to pay for the dog to come.
Which i think is wrong when they are not allowed in the main entertainment area.
We even got told off by staff for having the dog in the amusement area.
As he said we could just walk round the edge to get out of the building as it was actually a walk through for us with a dog so not allowed to play on machines.
So we may as well gone to a holiday park with no entertainment.
As we were not allowed to see any form of entertainment and that was the main reason we came.
As most holiday parks we have been to now allow dogs in all areas. So feel you should too.As feel we were getting punished for having our little dog with us.

Liked: They have large pitch spaces, many toilets and showers, great entertainment in the showhouse and great food. I didnt go in the other entertainment areas like the pool and golf but it's good to have the option.

Disliked: The showers were difficult to use as you had to hold the button down while using it. Only 1 car was allowed by the tent but they uad extra parking slightly further away so it was ok.

Liked: The site was a good size, very clean and tidy. The shop had everything you may need and the bar was a great place to grab a drink or food after a day of walking.

Disliked: The showers weren’t the best. You had to keep you hand in the button the whole time else the water stopped.

We were given a pitch next to the kids football area and the ball hit our van a few times.

Liked: Chris who greeted us and showed us our pitch was fantastic. Great to have the entertainment on site very good sized pitch
Good dishwashing facilities and very well kept pitches with very litter

Disliked: Showers were clean but terrible that you have to hold the button for the water to come out at all, trying to wash a little one whilst holding the button for water was near on impossible. Also shower block very cold so as soon as water stopped little one cried as cold. Toilets could have been cleaner

Local attractions

Great Yarmouth, a short drive away, has masses of attractions – too many to list here, but to give you an idea: the Sea Life aquarium, the exhilarating indoor circuit at Karting 2000, mini choo-choos and tiny townsfolk at Merrivale Model Village and Gardens, and the Elizabethan House Museum, where visitors can don Tudor fashions and find out what life was really like below stairs for Victorian scullery maids. There are more than 50 acres of adrenaline rides, plus parrot and sea lion shows and an Alpine chair lift at Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft. For those seeking more genteel pursuits, also near Lowestoft is Somerleyton Hall, a Tudor-Jacobean pile with pleasure gardens and a maze, home to the Crossley Carpets dynasty. Drive a little further and you can explore the wetlands and waterways of the Norfolk Broads, or head south to gorgeous Southwold and Aldeburgh in Suffolk.
