  • Peaceful Norfolk caravan pitches among gorgeous gardens
  • Ely and King's Lynn 20 minutes' drive; an hour to Cambridge
  • Three well-stocked fishing lakes on site; dogs welcome
The name may well evoke images of lush green surroundings – and indeed that's very much the case at Everglades Caravan Park, just outside the Norfolk village of Denver. Pitches at this peaceful park are set among serene well-maintained gardens, with sunny and shaded spots alike to relax in. There’s easy access from the A10, but you’d hardly know the main road was so close by once you're settled in, such is the gorgeously green outlook from the pitches. All of this is centred around the site’s real highlight: the three well-stocked fishing lakes. They’re stocked with carp, bream, roach, tench and rudd, and make a fabulous place to while away a good few hours with your fishing rod (or a cup of tea and a good book if you're not into angling). This park is designed solely for tourers, so you’ll need to be self sufficient when you stay here (please note there are no guest toilet or shower facilities). Dogs and families are welcome, and you'll have space to put up an awning and set up your barbecue. The local village is a tiny place that's primarily known for its windmill (yes, really), but you'll also be handily close to Downham Market – it's about a five-minute drive to the town centre for shops, supermarkets and places to eat. For days out, the likes of Ely, King’s Lynn, the Sandringham Estate and Thetford Forest are within a half-hour drive.

What customers say

Everglades is a beautiful, tranquil site praised for its quietness, lovely landscaping, and well-maintained grounds with spacious pitches. Guests enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and proximity to local amenities, with many expressing a desire to return. While some noted limited waste/water points and suggested an upgrade to the chemical disposal, the absence of on-site restrooms was generally accepted as part of the site's self-contained nature.

Liked An absolutely beautiful place.
We have been before and will go again.
Owner could not be anymore helpful.
Spent a couple of days fishing (£8 per person per day) caught some stunning carp in idyllic surroundings. Dogs are welcome and there are some nice walking areas.
Electricity supplied and water.
Elson point and bins for rubbish disposal.

There are no WC or showers - but that for us is not a problem at all.

Disliked Nothing at all, there really is nothing to dislike.

Liked Plenty of space. Friendly site manager. Lovely lakes - good for fishermen. Site is well kept. Nice walk from the site to the village along footpaths. Bus goes into Downham Market or 30 mins walk. Three/four mile walk back along the river, is lovely.

Disliked Pitch was on a bit of a slope. Could improve with toilet/shower facilities. Some road noise but not too intrusive. No WiFi and difficult to get a signal.

Liked What a clean and well kept site. Nice and level, we didn’t need chocks but some others had used theirs. We asked to be away from the lakes as we had 2 dogs and were sited right close to a gate through to the common land, great open space for all to enjoy!
The pitches were well spaced out. Lovely and quiet. Not over busy. People out fishing on the lakes from early morning, but didn’t seem to see many people so it was lovely to sit and relax and just watch the world go by. Nice walk into the village, but pub isn’t dog friendly.
Bradley met us and took us to our pitch and was a great source of info too!
Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again

Disliked People not clearing up after their dogs on the common land- I picked up my dogs as well as others! Although this is not related to the site, it’s such a shame people don’t respect the land .
Absolutely nothing about Everglades it’s self could be faulted

Liked Lovely scenic pitches, quite and tranquil surroundings. Fishing lakes on site if you like fishing, wildlife all around. Pitches level and food sizes. Public footpaths all around Denver if you fancy a walk. Benches at pond sides to sit on and watch whatever fishing etc is going on. Dog friendly site and other tourer stayers sociable. Grass was cut neatly and no grass cuttings left afterwards so the motorhome stayed grass free inside. Would definitely recommend if you want a peaceful stay 😊

Liked The dogs walk was great, the grass pitch was even and not too muddy, the site is beautiful

Disliked We knew there were no facilities except electric, but gave it a go. Staying here made us realise how much we needed a shower block.
On a different note, Bradley was very welcoming, the dog walk.at the side of the site was fantastic and we couldn't fault anything else.

Liked The views are wonderful. We were the only ones staying at the time. As the grounds were very wet. The fishing was good and everything was kept well. Not far to walk into the village. A warm welcome at the pub for us and the dog in the beer garden. Meet the owner Bradley very nice young man. Will visit again.

Disliked Little road noise but it was so quiet.
