Pitches

  • Peaceful Norfolk caravan pitches among gorgeous gardens
  • Ely and King's Lynn 20 minutes' drive; an hour to Cambridge
  • Three well-stocked fishing lakes on site; dogs welcome
The name may well evoke images of lush green surroundings – and indeed that's very much the case at Everglades Caravan Park, just outside the Norfolk village of Denver. Pitches at this peaceful park are set among serene well-maintained gardens, with sunny and shaded spots alike to relax in. There’s easy access from the A10, but you’d hardly know the main road was so close by once you're settled in, such is the gorgeously green outlook from the pitches. All of this is centred around the site’s real highlight: the three well-stocked fishing lakes. They’re stocked with carp, bream, roach, tench and rudd, and make a fabulous place to while away a good few hours with your fishing rod (or a cup of tea and a good book if you're not into angling). This park is designed solely for tourers, so you’ll need to be self sufficient when you stay here (please note there are no guest toilet or shower facilities). Dogs and families are welcome, and you'll have space to put up an awning and set up your barbecue. The local village is a tiny place that's primarily known for its windmill (yes, really), but you'll also be handily close to Downham Market – it's about a five-minute drive to the town centre for shops, supermarkets and places to eat. For days out, the likes of Ely, King’s Lynn, the Sandringham Estate and Thetford Forest are within a half-hour drive.

Beautiful, peaceful, well-kept site with spacious pitches. Praised for tranquil atmosphere, lovely surroundings, and fishing lakes. Friendly owner Bradley, convenient walks & amenities. Note: no toilet/shower facilities (good for self-contained units). Elsan disposal could be improved.

Liked Everglades caravan park is absolutely beautiful. Although there is no reception booking in was easy. We could choose our own pitch with the help of the owner who is always very helpful. The grounds are kept well and lovely and clean. We thought it a very pretty and quiet site although there is a little traff noise from the main road but that did not bother us. You can choose to go the other end of the site where you can not hear the traffic. The lakes are superb and very well kept. Excellent for fishing. Although there are no facilities on site there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants a short drive away. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

Liked Really pretty site. Very spacious pitches overlooking a beautiful lake. Probably one of the prettiest sites we have stayed.
There are no facilities here but we knew that before we booked.
Fishing was great lots of 10lb plus carp.
Bradley was very helpful and ever present on site.
We unfortunately had to cut our stay short due to the 34C temperatures and our dogs were not coping too well but will definitely be back.

Disliked Eason point could do with a bit of an upgrade
Phone and TV reception is not good.
EE is the only network around so I went and purchased an EE PAYG Sim for the stay
