The name may well evoke images of lush green surroundings – and indeed that's very much the case at Everglades Caravan Park, just outside the Norfolk village of Denver. Pitches at this peaceful park are set among serene well-maintained gardens, with sunny and shaded spots alike to relax in. There’s easy access from the A10, but you’d hardly know the main road was so close by once you're settled in, such is the gorgeously green outlook from the pitches. All of this is centred around the site’s real highlight: the three well-stocked fishing lakes. They’re stocked with carp, bream, roach, tench and rudd, and make a fabulous place to while away a good few hours with your fishing rod (or a cup of tea and a good book if you're not into angling). This park is designed solely for tourers, so you’ll need to be self sufficient when you stay here (please note there are no guest toilet or shower facilities). Dogs and families are welcome, and you'll have space to put up an awning and set up your barbecue. The local village is a tiny place that's primarily known for its windmill (yes, really), but you'll also be handily close to Downham Market – it's about a five-minute drive to the town centre for shops, supermarkets and places to eat. For days out, the likes of Ely, King’s Lynn, the Sandringham Estate and Thetford Forest are within a half-hour drive.

Lovely, quiet spot, praised for tidy grounds, big pitches, and nice lake views. Lots loved the chill vibe and friendly owner, Bradley. Fishing's a go. Some missed loos/showers, but most were grand given it's self-contained. A few noted the chemical waste bit and bins now and then. Great for a peaceful break.

Liked Loved our little stay at Everglades as we always do, its such a beautiful place so peaceful and tranquil, lovely setting for some relaxing fishing. 🎣

Liked Stunning scenery set in wonderfully maintained grounds. The pitches were open to personal choice and were very spacious. On arrival we rang the given number and within minutes the owner was with us to show us around. He never chased for payment and was also relaxed about final payment for the fishing dues. I can state this is the nicest and most relaxed site we have visited. The best site we have stayed at and yet the cheapest.

Liked Very relaxing site. My husband really enjoyed the fishing.
Bradley, the site operator was very welcoming.
He was always available if you needed him but never bothered us,
unless we wanted some information.

Disliked For us nothing really.
We are quite happy with electric hook up only

Liked We left everglades today after our first visit but we will certainly be returning. The site is beautiful, exceptionally well maintained, Bradley the owner was extremely friendly and helpful, there is a little road noise but that is only a small negative, I would certainly recommend a visit.

Liked Just had a lovely 2 nights pitched by the lake. Hubby caught a few nice carp, lost a few also. No toilets or showers really didn’t bother us. One tiny thing is we would have liked a few more water taps on site but this really wouldn’t stop us from returning.

Liked Love the park very scenic with lovely spacious pitches lovely owner and would definitely go back

Disliked Bins over spilling and broken glass around the floor, toilet waste area rather smelly and when it rained it spilled out.

Liked Very well kept site with lots of space between pitches . Very friendly and helpful staff. We were told we could visit the other site at lakeside to use the facilities there, but never needed to. Lovely relaxing break.
