Traditional village pub
Spacious serviced pitches
Pitches with rural views
Outdoor tables

  • Small site in the grounds of a Callow End traditional village pub
  • A 15-minute drive from the Malvern Hills and Worcester
  • Large beer garden with outdoor tables, play area and chickens
For those couples/travelling parties that frequently face disagreement over whose turn it is to be designated driver, there’s really only one sensible solution: bed down right there at the pub. Dozing off at the bar might be considered a little unseemly, so The Old Bush’s owners Matt and Karen have come up with a better solution and set up pitches in the garden area behind their rural Worcestershire pub. Thus guests can partake of dinners accompanied by a few local ales/ciders before strolling home (to a peaceful corner with drinking water, showers and 24-hour toilets) in just a couple of minutes – how civilised. In fact, the whole setup here is rather civilised: The Old Bush is a traditional country pub in the little village of Callow End, with food available at lunch and dinner times, plus a menu of mini meals for smaller guests. On warmer days the merriment spills out into the garden, where there’s a play area, an aviary and a little flock of chickens along with plenty of tables for open-air drinking, dining and admiring the views over the Malvern hills. Of course, one can’t sit around in the pub all day (well, maybe not every day, anyway…), so it’s worth noting that this is also a handy location for walks, horse riding, games of golf, fishing and days out in Worcester and Malvern (both 15 minutes away by car). Handily, if you do ‘accidentally’ sup one too many at lunchtime there’s a bus stop in the village so you can still get out and about.

What customers say

Great little campsite behind a pub! Folks loved the friendly staff, tasty food (pub & cafe), and super-clean facilities, especially showers. Pretty spot, easy M5 access—perfect for stopovers or exploring. Level pitches. Aviary/animal sanctuary a hit.

Power optional gravel RV campsite

Liked Shower facilities were very clean and nice. Lovely shop at the entrance with amazing cakes as well as other goodies. The pub being situated on site was very handy and the food was delicious.

Disliked The toilets for the site were just in a shed, although they were clean and functional they could do with an upgrade.
My biggest objection to the place was the photos up in the mens toilet in the pub. They're were many black and white provocative photos of naked or barely dressed women covering the walls. This seems very inappropriate and quite an outdated way to view and treat women. I felt like it let the feel of the place down and soiled the experience.
