For those couples/travelling parties that frequently face disagreement over whose turn it is to be designated driver, there’s really only one sensible solution: bed down right there at the pub. Dozing off at the bar might be considered a little unseemly, so The Old Bush’s owners Matt and Karen have come up with a better solution and set up pitches in the garden area behind their rural Worcestershire pub. Thus guests can partake of dinners accompanied by a few local ales/ciders before strolling home (to a peaceful corner with drinking water, showers and 24-hour toilets) in just a couple of minutes – how civilised. In fact, the whole setup here is rather civilised: The Old Bush is a traditional country pub in the little village of Callow End, with food available at lunch and dinner times, plus a menu of mini meals for smaller guests. On warmer days the merriment spills out into the garden, where there’s a play area, an aviary and a little flock of chickens along with plenty of tables for open-air drinking, dining and admiring the views over the Malvern hills. Of course, one can’t sit around in the pub all day (well, maybe not every day, anyway…), so it’s worth noting that this is also a handy location for walks, horse riding, games of golf, fishing and days out in Worcester and Malvern (both 15 minutes away by car). Handily, if you do ‘accidentally’ sup one too many at lunchtime there’s a bus stop in the village so you can still get out and about.

This popular, well-kept site boasts friendly staff, great facilities, a pub, and cafe/shop. Pitches are level and spacious with nice views. Access is steep for large RVs. Liked This was a brilliant find on our way from The Lakes to Devon. We needed a last minute stop over and booking and check-in were super simple. Hard standing and facilities were excellent for our T5 and super easy to access even arriving at 10pm having booked an hour earlier. Welcoming bar staff ensured there was still time for a drink if we wanted. Aviary and play equipment were great for daughter in the morning. Liked it so much we stayed for lunch before heading on. Super accessible to M5. Wi-Fi access and 24/7 showers and toilets. A perfect stopover for us! Would recommend for anyone doing similar.

Liked Where do you start arrived late afternoon staff in shop at the top were fantastic got set up on lovely level pitch with ample facilities and popped to the pub.I was with my grandson he played for a bit in the park then ordered food (gammon and burger) ingredients clearly local or fresh beautiful meal great nights sleep woke up and had lovely breakfast in the morning before leaving.Well done to staff and owners great site.

Liked Staff were so friendly and explained everything on arrival despite being so busy. Facilities are very clean. Great shop /cafe. And pub.

Disliked Showers when the pub is full of people they are just in the wrong location for an evening shower.
