What customers say
This is a peaceful, clean campsite with beautiful views & a welcoming atmosphere. Guests praise the friendly staff, well-maintained facilities, & the on-site cafe. Animals, especially alpacas, are a highlight. Some note the distance & steepness to the restroom block can be challenging for those with mobility issues. Highly recommended for its value & tranquil setting.

Never again. From the poor check in to check out. Nothing good.
Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked The fishing lakes were nice, apart from the blazing fire from burning rubbish bellowing smoke into the atmosphere.
Disliked The road down from the entrance to the site is very poor, the trees and bushes need cutting back and the road surface needs sorting.
I booked a hard standing which is sold as 6m x 8m, I spoke the day before and said it would be around 20:30 for check-in, on checking I was told if there was no hard standings left I could just park on the grass. Not acceptable, if you book a hard standing then that’s what you should get. The hard standings are tiny. Don’t believe the measurements on the app. The facilities are very poor, a very dirty toilet outside for the black waste which was blocked. A dirty toilet for grey waste. The fresh water tap was also very dirty with an old tyre full of rubbish around it looking very hygienic. Not.

Liked Wonderful location ,fantastic onsite cafe and toilet/shower facilities. Beautiful fishing lakes and within easy travel distance of some great days out. The gentleman who runs the site is incredibly friendly & has a wealth of local knowledge.
Disliked The last 1/2 mile road down towards the campsite is rough and full of potholes , if your car /camper is low be very careful!!!

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked The views and the showers. Really good showers, they were clean, tidy and hot! I could dressed properly for a party in there. The only thing I would suggest is putting in one of those hairdryers. Owners were super friendly and the people on the site were lovely too! Highly recommend. The animals were canny, campsite was clean and tidy. Bit of a walk to the bathrooms but to be honest I won’t say I disliked it because I wasn’t that bothered, it gave me some exercise but I am mindful that could influence others. Lovely site. Highly recommend!
