Wouldn't go back, clean facilities but not great at all.
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Locations to nearby towns and the NEC as we went to the caravan show. Toilet/shower facilities were ok. It was lovely by the lakes.
Disliked The site felt dirty, pitches were all un even. It was as if it was a travellers squatters site. Wasn't nice at all. First day we got there, we pitched up, sat down and then workmen was banging away, chainsaws etc, no peace what so ever!

Site OK for a 1 night stop over, or if you like fishing.

Liked After reading a lot of negativity, reluctantly booked 3 nights as I needed to be close to the NEC. A lot of effort has been put into the lodges with little effort to the touring site. The shower block is modern, however it's badly neglected.
Disliked Want to be helpful and not just critical. Lack of cleaning to the shower blocks. Washing up sinks full of food, no one cleaned them the 3 days I was there. The 2 empty bottles were there from day one. It's no good having a sign to say leave it as you find it. If it's dirty before you go you leave it the same. The block would take a couple of hours to bottom it out. Not the cheapest site on the platform. Water both in sink and showers not hot enough. Having spent the last 6 weeks in Croatia they can teach us a thing or two. This standard wouldn't survive in Europe. It's no good saying " you will have a word " with the team. That's obviously has not worked. The site is a big plot of grass, not a camp site I wouldn't want to holiday there for a week.

I would stay again. Site lighting and better heating in toilet block.

Superb campsite ❤️
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We absolutely love it here. Been camping quite a few times and its always great. The site is well kept. Always a warm welcome from the staff in reception and the cafe too. Banging breakfast in the refurbished cafe, sets you up for the day. The new shop is a lovely addition to the site, lots of essentials. The facilities are always clean and hot water for washing up. One suggestion would be to please install a water tap by the reception office as its a fair way down to the electric field to find a tap if its cold and wet or dark. Its a really nice walk around the site though, round the lakes, we dont fish but the fisher folk always seem friendly. The motorway road noise has never bothered us, we dont seem to notice it. We highly recommend camping here, we will certainly be back - love it!!! Thanks so much ❤️ ⛺️
Disliked Nothing!

Liked Quiet
Disliked The showers were cold, especially the disabled one.
On arrival, just pointed to where to pitch. I had to go and ask about the gate code.

Loved my stay. I was on my own on a motorcycle & came & went quietly
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This is a site for fishermen but accepts other campers. If you are happy to be on a site which prioritises fishing, it’s great.
You will find a very peaceful site with excellent amenities at a good price.
Disliked Nothing to dislike if you understand what the site is all about

Pitches very good Surroundings very quiet ☺️ Friendly staff

Liked Lovely Park. Fishing 🎣 lake is a pleasant bonus area, you can sit & watch the anglers, which seems a very popular site.
Electric hookup
Showers
Disliked Not a dislike but a observation. The showers need an update ie shower 🚿 heads. Need a shelf or tray where you can place shampoo, soap etc rather than having to place on the shower tray.
Outside wash up area & counters are ok, but really need to clean all the dead insects around the ceiling & walls ☹️
