What customers say
A popular, friendly campground with a relaxed vibe, praised for its great location near the River Trent, lovely walks & pubs. Staff, esp. Martin, are helpful. Facilities are basic but clean & functional, with a communal kitchen. Spacious sites a plus. Some note overcrowding/noise; a few found facilities insufficient for site size.

Liked Amount of space for each pitch, attentive hosts and secure gated entrance - loads of electric hook up, fire pits and wood available too, along with microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer and toaster for anyone to use!
5 min walk to the river Trent which is really nice at sunset
Disliked Toilets and showers could be cleaner but it’s outdoors so can’t expect them to be immaculate- always stocked with supplies

Liked We loved this site, was lovely and quiet at night. Everyone was so friendly. Olive & Martin were lovely. We were greeted as soon as we came on site. We had a lovely 40 min walk down to the Bromley pub. Food was lovely and we hired a motor boat for an hour. I’ve already rebooked to come back in September.

Primitive grass and earth campsite
Liked little gem of a campsite, stayed for a night with my son. very warm and friendly welcome from Martin who gave us a tour of the site and facilities as it was our first stay. personally i was very impressed with the shower and toilets, spotlessly clean and the kitchen was fantastic to have the use of a kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge and added bonus tea and coffee available free. the site was fantastic, nice flat level ground and again spotlessly clean. and to top it all off it was the most tranquil camp site ive ever been to, i cant wait to go back.

Good site with friendly staff and level pitches.

Liked Open space caravan park with plenty of space even in high season. Friendly staff offering warm welcome and made it easy to check-in. Facilities are rustic but tidy and offer everything you need.
Disliked The first impression when getting to the barrier is not ideal due to the (what it seems) wardens caravan and an old motorhome - the warden (Martin) was incredibly friendly and funny. The vehicles are quite old and would need a bit of a nicer site for a better impression. But again - thats only on the first look.
As Germans we were not used to have such a wide space with no clear concept where to stay with the campervan.

Liked Martin and olive were amazing and went above and beyond to help make our stay brilliant. The toilets and showers were kept spotless and there was even a little kitchen to use. Martin was always around to help out with anything needed and made a special effort to make sure he knew everyone’s name. We will defo be back.
