Heading to an F1 event at Silverstone? Book your stay at Dadford Road Campsite in Northamptonshire, as it’s a handy five minutes’ drive down the road from the racetrack. It’s also a clever choice if you’re wanting to explore the Capability Brown estate at Stowe Gardens (10 minutes’ drive), play golf, go hiking, try sky diving… or just put your feet up on site. The level, well-kept camping field is set on a family farm with large, pick-your-own-space grass pitches. They’re not limited by size, so you can spread out and camp together with family or friends if you like. Car parking is allowed on the field as well. Bear in mind that there’s no electricity on site, so factor in torches when it comes to packing your gear. Handy amenities include mains water, washing-up sinks, fully flushing toilets and hot showers with step-free access in the facilities block. You can pick up all your grocery needs at the local shop, or make haste to the nearest pub (both five minutes’ drive) for a pint and good food.

Great location for Silverstone! Guests loved the quiet vibe and helpful owners. Facilities are clean, with plenty of showers. Note that pitches can be uneven, potentially tricky for tents. Racetrack noise and basic showers were mentioned. Still, great value and many would return!

Liked Plenty of showers and toilets, these are quite utilitarian but work fine. Close proximity to Silverstone Circuit, Stowe House & Gardens
Very quiet site when no racing on at Silverstone.

Disliked Some people may find issue with the spacious "cow shed" design of the facilities, but these do work well.

Liked nice clean and quiet campsite with plenty of showers and toilets. very close to silverstone and shops are only a 15min drive away. the owners are very nice and kind people genuinely have nothing bad to say about it

Liked Location to silverstone and relaxed view to pitching.

Disliked Noise from other campers using the wash facilities the other side of the hedge (possibly unaware) and pull cord showers, although they were lovely and warm

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Shower & toilet facilities excellent. Owner who also farmed the land was pleasant and helpful.

Disliked Traffic noise when travelling over cattle grid could get irritating after a while especially late or early.
Found our choice of pitch was a little rocky under the grass as we only found out when trying to sleep and definitely too late to reposition.

Liked Pleasant peaceful night, turns out i pitched in the wrong field but the owner left me to stay there which was great.

Disliked Cold shower and toilet block.
