  • Small, family-friendly site in the Lincolnshire countryside
  • Two miles from Skegness and 15 minutes' drive from Ingoldmells
  • On-site play area and laundry facilities
Folk setting off for Skegness will certainly find a friendly welcome at Top Yard Farm Caravan Park, a small family-run site two miles from the lively Lincolnshire coastal resort. And in settling here you'll be in a fine spot both for seaside times in Skegness and for all the surrounding area has to offer. (Hint: quite a bit.) You'll pick up on the amicable vibe as soon as you arrive at this well-maintained Lincolnshire spot, whether that's a welcome from the Top Yard Farm team themselves or meeting the other guests who come here for the family-friendly atmosphere. As well as being close to Skegness seafront, this site is about five minutes' drive from the village of Croft, where there's a pub that's just the place for catching up with friends old and new over a drink or meals out when you just don't fancy cooking. The facilities here are well kept, and include a toilet and shower block, a drinking water tap, and sinks for dishwashing and laundry. A play area is on hand to tire out the kids, and a dog walk for canine guests.

What customers say

This friendly, clean, well-kept campground gets mostly positive reviews. Staff are helpful, facilities are spotless, and pitches are level. It's great for families with a peaceful vibe and good play area, plus proximity to Skegness is a plus. Minor notes: road noise and upkeep on older stored caravans.

Liked Pitch was perfect where we were. Friendly owners making you feel welcomed and approachable to ask any questions. We also made friends on site too.
Location was good situated off the A52 road .A ten minute drive into Skegness, unless you get stuck in traffic closer to the town but you have to expect that at coastal resorts.

Disliked Sadly no wifi there and little bar wasnt open whilst there.
Minor dislike was the road noise but didnt put us off staying there.

Liked We love how clean and peaceful the site is. We have been 4 times this year mainly for weekends but we just had a week in our caravan. The owners are always on hand, the kids love the site and had a big friendship group. The toilets are always clean and tidy. The park is brilliant for the kids. And easy to find. This is our favourite site and continue to use it.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Cheapest spot around and just a few miles from Skegness.

Disliked It's by the main road, surprisingly noisy at night.
You are surrounded by literally dozens of dead caravans. Great if you want a new take on Haunted House.
Reception isn't open much, I wanted to recharge my phone and ended up grovelling to one of the caravanners.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked As soon as we drove up we had someone show us to out plot and explained where everything was and explained anything we weren't sure of. The pitch size was good and with plenty of space between us and our neighbours. We were close to the children's play area which was in view as well which we liked so we could keep an eye on our 3 year old. Toilet facilities were kept clean and tidy and to a high standard. Really useful pot wash area as well. Fresh drinking water tap was very useful as well. We didn't end up using the showers so can't comment on how they were but I know others used them whilst we were there.
Overall lovely spot to pitch up and very reasonably priced with not being far from the centre. We would come here again for sure.

Disliked Not many dislikes or complaints here as such the only things I could comments on would be the sign at night especially was difficult to see and I even drove past the camp grounds the first time as were came from a different direction.
Slight noise from the road especially seems loud at night but nothing that bothered us but I know it may others.
The first night we were there overnight kids were playing until past 11pm at night which made it difficult when putting down our 3 year old as they were particularly loud but this is due to parents and not the caravan park but could maybe be something to be aware of when stopping here.

Liked Absolutely lovely stay. Such friendly and welcoming owner. Clean and tidy site with plenty of space. Toilet blocks clean and was always stocked up, there was even a bath which was a bonus with having small children. Play area decent the, the children loved it.
Honestly no faults at all, was just perfect for what we wanted and will most definitely return.

Local attractions

Top Yard Farm is within easy travelling distance of Skegness, with its beach, pier and three-storey amusement arcade as well as non-seasidey town things like the National Parrot Sanctuary, Natureland Seal Sanctuary, Skegness Golf Centre and the Embassy Theatre. Bars, nightclubs and restaurants are plentiful too if you're sticking around in town into the night. On the edge of Skegness, running to the mouth of the Wash, is another famed Lincolnshire coastal spot in the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, home to gulls, waders and wildfowl around its lagoons, saltmarsh, dunes, foreshore and beach. The reserve has a visitor centre and a bird observatory, along with marked walks and trails. A little further north along the coast are other much-visited seaside towns in Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe; Ingoldmells and the Fantasy Island theme park are a few miles south. Inland, pick up food, antiques, souvenirs and more at Lincolnshire's market towns like Spilsby (nine miles), Alford (15 miles), Louth (20 miles) and Boston (20 miles).
