  • Small, family-friendly site in the Lincolnshire countryside
  • Two miles from Skegness and 15 minutes' drive from Ingoldmells
  • On-site play area and laundry facilities
Folk setting off for Skegness will certainly find a friendly welcome at Top Yard Farm Caravan Park, a small family-run site two miles from the lively Lincolnshire coastal resort. And in settling here you'll be in a fine spot both for seaside times in Skegness and for all the surrounding area has to offer. (Hint: quite a bit.) You'll pick up on the amicable vibe as soon as you arrive at this well-maintained Lincolnshire spot, whether that's a welcome from the Top Yard Farm team themselves or meeting the other guests who come here for the family-friendly atmosphere. As well as being close to Skegness seafront, this site is about five minutes' drive from the village of Croft, where there's a pub that's just the place for catching up with friends old and new over a drink or meals out when you just don't fancy cooking. The facilities here are well kept, and include a toilet and shower block, a drinking water tap, and sinks for dishwashing and laundry. A play area is on hand to tire out the kids, and a dog walk for canine guests.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Absolutely lovely stay. Such friendly and welcoming owner. Clean and tidy site with plenty of space. Toilet blocks clean and was always stocked up, there was even a bath which was a bonus with having small children. Play area decent the, the children loved it.
Honestly no faults at all, was just perfect for what we wanted and will most definitely return.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Lovely site. Great price for a gravel pitch with electric hook up. Good open space for children to play + play area. Sited campers were very friendly. 5 mins drive into Skegness. Toilets/shower clean. Close to ingoldmells/ chapel St Leonard’s

Disliked The only thing I was disappointed with was that there is not a dog walk as stated on pitchup. There is a public footpath that goes through farmers fields that we found about a mile away (drove to).. but Croft road is really busy 50mph road and there is no footpath so I would not walk along that with my young children and dogs as it is not safe to do so.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked First time camping with our 5 year old and what a pleasure it has been!.. first entering the site we was met by a lady ( not sure of name) who kindly showed us to our camping pitch. She then showed us where the toilets pot wash was ect.. all I can say is what a lovely little gem of a camp site.. extremely spacious pitches. Small and quiet and so friendly. My daughter made a wonderful little friend called April who stays here each year for her holidays and it really made my daughters week. People who stay here throughout the season was so lovely to us and always had time for a chat and made a fuss with our daughter and let her stroke there dogs ect.. the pitches are so level wich made us novices happy when it came to putting our tent up.. the site is close enough to Skegness center but far enough away from the hustle and bustle for a more relaxed feel.. I have seen a few reviews about the noise from the road but we didnt even notice it at all...
The toilet and shower block was extremely clean and we saw them being cleaned and replenished daily. The pot wash area ( 2 sinks) was definitely an added extra bonus for us.
We unfortunately didnt get to meet the owners val and Eric as they was on holiday but absolutely left there site in great hands as we was made to feel welcome and was taken care of with knowing where everything was.
There is a lovely park on the camping field where my daughter would play and enjoy for hours on end...

My only thing im sad about is that we didnt book for longer and that im packing my tent up to leave today!

Disliked That i have to leave today and didnt book for longer

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Site was friendly,

Disliked Alot of noise from the road, no disabled toilet or disabled shower. Only one shower block, no information on the site of where things were. And so many old caravans which made it look unsightly.

From the manager: Hello Mr Paul Croft, many thanks for staying at our campsite and also the review you have left. I will go on to comment on your issues, however I do have to say that I find it amazing that a small business like ourselves can be subject to such a negative score, which obviously has a negative effect on our livelihood all because the person making the booking either can't be bothered or just doesn't take the time to do their research into the site they are booking, especially when it comes to disabled needs. Always has to be the site owners fault, not the visiting party, ....Anyhoo, going back to your points. You state we do not have a disabled toilet, yes that's right, we don't, that's why we DO NOT advertise we have disabled toilets. You also mention that we do not have a disabled shower, again that is right and why we DO NOT advertise that we have a disabled shower. You make a comment regarding one shower block, that is also correct. This is separated into a male and female section, which contains the correct number of showers, toilets and washing facilities for a campsite of this size. Not sure what your issue is with that and again you would have clearly seen this if you had taken the time during the booking. Next, the "unsightly" caravans. Again this has been addressed a number of times within reviews and comments. We actually have pictures on our Pitch Up page showing the "unsightly" caravans, which I'm sure you would have seen at the time of booking. Finally the "no information on site". Outside our single shower block and on the way to the camping field (before the unsightly caravans), we actually have a large map of the site showing where things are......not sure how you missed that. May I suggest going forward that you take the time to research the campsite you are looking to book and not just blame the owners when you don't have the facilities you expect...........We wish you happies camping for the future.

Can't wait to stay again!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Loved this site! Super clean, showers and toilets were exceptionally clean! The owner was very nice and showed us to our pitch.
We stayed non electric and the field was so lovely and flat! Very easy to peg a tent into!
It was a nice big field so we were all spread out. Will be booking and staying again ASAP!

Local attractions

Top Yard Farm is within easy travelling distance of Skegness, with its beach, pier and three-storey amusement arcade as well as non-seasidey town things like the National Parrot Sanctuary, Natureland Seal Sanctuary, Skegness Golf Centre and the Embassy Theatre. Bars, nightclubs and restaurants are plentiful too if you're sticking around in town into the night. On the edge of Skegness, running to the mouth of the Wash, is another famed Lincolnshire coastal spot in the Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, home to gulls, waders and wildfowl around its lagoons, saltmarsh, dunes, foreshore and beach. The reserve has a visitor centre and a bird observatory, along with marked walks and trails. A little further north along the coast are other much-visited seaside towns in Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe; Ingoldmells and the Fantasy Island theme park are a few miles south. Inland, pick up food, antiques, souvenirs and more at Lincolnshire's market towns like Spilsby (nine miles), Alford (15 miles), Louth (20 miles) and Boston (20 miles).
