Power optional grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Such a pretty and well maintained site. It was very peaceful during our stay, the site isn’t huge anyway, but maybe 24 pitches in use while we were there, some of which seemed to be seasonal pitches and not all occupied. The site has lovely clean facilities (loos and showers). We had an electric hook up which was just £3 for the four nights we stayed. There is also a fenced in off-lead dog area and plenty of dog walk options from the site. Ian the site manager was very welcoming and helpful and we will definately stay here again if in the area.

Power optional gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Quiet adult only location and spotlessly clean. Good water pressure and good to have electric and water on pitch.

Disliked A longish but flat walk into town (30 minutes) okay in the dry but not when it rained. No wifi and tv signal not great due probably to trees.

Power optional gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked What can I say about this campsite apart from it is an absolute gem. Have been camping for 14 years and this is one of the best. If you are looking for relaxation with 5 star facilities then this is the one for you. Ian the owner made us so welcome and explained all about the local area. The golf club next door is not to be missed for a panoramic relaxing drink or evening meal. Will definitely be back when next in the area.

Disliked Nothing to dislike at all.

Local attractions

A popular family destination is Wild Pines Park, a minute’s drive away, with zipwires and rope walks up high, archery and playgrounds on the forest floor. To see an even wilder side, people head to Woodside Wildlife Park (10 minutes), a hands-on zoo experience with tigers, white wolves and sloths. History lies thick on the ground in Lincoln (30 minutes), with its 11th-century castle, 12th-century cathedral and ancient winding street quarter called Steep Hill (they’re not joking). Doddington Hall (40 minutes) was built in 1600 and has stayed in the same family ever since; a Tudor house and home that’s bursting with treasures. International Bomber Command (35 minutes) commemorates the part Lincolnshire’s people and airfields played in World War Two. Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre (40 minutes) pays tribute to the local industry; naturally enough, it's a popular stop for fish and chips too... Wild dunes and broad beaches are within easy reach as well, as Skegness and quieter Mablethorpe are 50 minutes away.
