Liked Quite site with good size pitches. Clear check in process. Toilets/showers simple but very clean. Excellent location, just a few minutes walk from beach and only 30 minutes walk from Mablethorpe.

Liked Good sized pitch. Was able to choose quieter side, away from the road. Easy walking access to the dog friendly beach. Very friendly welcome from Ellie.

Disliked Mens toilet was dirty (not really fault of the lovely warden). More a case of a disgusting camper who didn't use the cleaning items to clean up his mess. Also had a bad encounter with a loose dog, which ran from one of the static caravans. It tried to attack my dog as we walked through the center of the statics towards the pedestrian exit gate.

Liked great location, quiet and very clean facilities. great customer service throughout, showers had hot water,

Disliked only that the shower is a trickle, better pressure would be preferable but it was hot.

Liked You can choose your pitch as you arrive which I personally loved, the toilets and shower are immaculately clean no matter what time you go. Nice 5 minute walk to the beach passing a pub/restaurant open Friday Saturday and Sunday which is dog friendly with dog shower outside. Pitch’s are pretty level and grass mowed nicely. Owner meets you on arrival to show you around and she’s very friendly and informative. Little dog walk around site which is well kept. Fresh water and waste disposal in easy reach of pitches. Nice quiet relaxed atmosphere. Free WiFi and great TV signal, fantastic phone signal.

Disliked There is only one shower and 2 toilets in the female block and same in the men’s, however, I (and my partner) never seemed to be waiting to use ether, being a small site it does seem to work. Pitch’s next to the road can be a little noisy during the day but we wasn’t disturbed at night. No shop onsite so a 5 minute walk to the shop on a site across the road.

Local attractions

The sandy beach a hop and a skip away from Swallow Park Caravan Site will definitely be the main attraction; don’t leave without a meander along the pretty trails in the Saltfleetby/Theddlethrope Dunes nature reserve, where the marshes and dunes are filled with wildflowers, wading birds, butterflies and natterjack toads. Mablethorpe is small, but has plenty to help you while away a day or two: riding the sand train along the beach, for starters, or admiring the doe-eyed beauties at the seal sanctuary, which also has resident badgers, barn owls and kestrels. You can take in the shops and cafés at Spanish City, enjoy fairground rides, amusement arcades and a model railway, or take in the lively events schedule including the Bathing Beauties festival, illuminations, an annual show, and regular motorbike racing on the beach. Drive north to Cleethorpes or south to Skegness for more seaside fun and games.
