What customers say
Well-kept site with roomy, level spots and a friendly vibe. Guests loved the clean showers. Cafe/bar got props for food and welcoming feel. Great for walking/fishing, and near Lincoln. A few noted train noise, occasional shower/bar hour issues.

Ok If your happy to use your own caravan facilities but expensive.
FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked We stayed at Hanworth Country Park from 17th–20th July. We’ve stayed here before and really enjoyed it, which is why we returned. The park itself is lovely, and we had a fully serviced pitch, so thankfully we were able to shower in our caravan when needed.
Disliked Using public showers
Since our last visit, the country park has opened a swimming lake and paddleboarding area to the public. Unfortunately, the caravan site’s shower and toilet facilities now appear to be sharedwith visitors to these attractions, which has had a noticeable impact.
On Saturday morning I used one of the unisex shower cubicles. The water was cold – just about warm enough for a quick wash, but nowhere near warm enough to wash my hair. When I tried to leave, the cubicle door wouldn’t unlock. I was trapped inside until someone eventually heard me shouting for help. A man outside explained that you have to hold the door handle fully up while turning the lock and then pull the handle down to get it open. This worked, but I only found out afterwards that there is a sign explaining this in a different shower cubicle. There wasn’t one in the cubicle I used, so I had no way of knowing. After reading previous reviews, I found that other people have reported being locked in these showers too. I was fortunate someone heard me – if it had been later in the evening, that might not have been the case.
I was also disappointed that the only showers available to women are the unisex facilities, while there is a separate men’s shower block. It doesn’t seem particularly fair that women are expected to use shared unisex showers when men have the option of dedicated facilities as well.
The cleaner mentioned that the new swimming lake was creating extra work, but that doesn’t explain the faulty lock or the lack of hot water. The shower block also wasn’t particularly clean, with cobwebs and a large spider, which suggests cleaning standards need improving regardless of how busy the facilities are.
At £35 per night, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect better-maintained facilities, especially when caravan guests are effectively sharing what now feels like public toilets and showers.
It’s a real shame because we previously enjoyed staying here, but this experience spoiled our weekend and, sadly, we won’t be returning.

Camping pod (comfort, pet friendly, twin)
Liked Lovely 2 nights stay in a twin pod. The pod had a microwave, kettle, toaster, Tv, heating, cups, crockery, cutlery, tea towel and complimentary tea, coffee and sugar. Quilts, pillows and a throw also included. Outside table and chairs. The site is quiet and well maintained . Toilets and showers are cleaned regularly. Pub and cafe onsite. Lovely walk around the lakes. Great to see adults and kids kayaking, paddle boarding and wild swimming in one of the lakes( extra cost) Receptionist really helpful and friendly.
As a solo female I also felt very safe.
Disliked One small issue were the geese but it does say to expect them onsite !! They were however camped out in front of my pod and were all hissing. One even ran towards me ( yes I did scream out load 🤣🤣) I rang reception and the lovely lady came a cleared them away from the pod and told me to just walk past them … it was fine from then on. Lots of geese= lots of poo too.

Disliked Paddle boarders using the few toilets on site leaving them muddy and wet. No dog pen so dogs have to be on lead all time

Great stay, good value would recommend
FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Stayed o a serviced pitch in a camper. The pitch was a really good size (hard standing and grass, shielded on the left and right side by planting. Peaceful park despite the trainline nearby. Nice bar, reasonably priced serving decent looking food. All reception staff were lovely
Great location and a shirt walk to the small village of Potterhanworth. Bus from village to Lincoln etc, driver drops off at park entrance on request!
Disliked The main shower area was dated and needs a really good clean (discoloured silicone etc). The main block should be to the standard of the loos and shower behind the bar area.
The planting around the pitches could include planting at the back of the pitch to discourage people cutting through pitches
