  • Peaceful adults-only site on the edge of Chapel St Leonards
  • A 10-minute drive to Fantasy Island and 20 minutes to Skegness
  • Wide, sandy and dog-friendly Chapel Point beach 10 minutes' walk away
Pack your beach gear if you’re heading to Rosa Campsite – this adults-only site is a mere few minutes’ amble from a long, sandy beach. There’s a peaceful rural vibe here, with acres of farmland views to gaze out over, but it's all only 20 minutes' walk from the pubs, cafés and small supermarket in the coastal village of Chapel St Leonards. The site is also only a 10-minute walk from the dog-friendly Chapel Point beach. Vicky and Shaun have set up their site in a quiet spot and take pride in the friendly and helpful welcome they offer to guests. Pitches are in a large grass field that’s pleasingly flat, with plenty of space for barbecues. Showers are close by for convenient riddance of accumulated sand; they’re free to use and kept mightily clean. A washing-up area and recycling facility are also provided to keep the place spick and span. If your walking boots want a bit of action, it'll take you 25 minutes to drive over to the Lincolnshire Wolds, where you can hit the trails through woodland and grassland to see the wildlife now abundant in the abandoned chalk pits.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Excellent support and information from Shaun on arrival. The site is well maintained and the toilets/shower (only one) is kept clean and presentable in every respect.
Also the area is very quiet and just what we needed for our weekend break.
Highly recommended to everyone!

Disliked Shaun informed me that there are further developments planned regarding additional showers etc.
Which would further enhance the sites ablution facilities and help to reduce any morning queues.

Powered grass tent campsite

Liked Ideal for those that want an adult only campsite that is quiet, near the beach, tranquil to have chilled days, relaxing and not far for a bus if walk to chapel point for a brew or/and bite to eat..
Great owners, only met shaun, text prior to arrival and welcome us on arrival to the campsite and managed to get the tent up before it rained. Recommend Lincoln Cathedral and castle up Steep Hill if can manage walking up a steep hill and that's the name of the road too..Toilets and the one shower were clean.

Disliked One shower isn't ideal if campsite is busy.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Small quiet site on the very edge of Chapel Saint Leonards. 15 minute walk through adjacent caravan sites to the North Sea Observatory on the shore where food and coffee are served and dogs are welcome. The main centre of the town is a further 15 minutes walk away where you will find full seaside facilities. There is a small car park adjacent to the toilets but there also is a long-term car park which is much cheaper. And in fact is free for the first two hours.
The campsite is well maintained and the grass was in excellent condition. The toilet facilities consist of two toilets and a shower which were adequate as there were few people on the site and they were also clean.

Disliked There is nothing that I could fault with this site

Primitive grass campsite

Liked We've just a lovely, peaceful few days at Rosa Campsite.
Shawn met us when we arrived, showed us around and made us feel very welcome.
The campsite is very tidy and well kept. The pitches are large and level.
The toilets were always clean.
We loved that it's very quiet!
It's only a 10 minute walk to the beach, and a nice café at Chapel Point.
Great fish and chips at The Marina.
The only slight issue was that the toilets didn't flush very well, and there are not many toilets so we sometimes had to wait few minutes before one was available.
We would definitely go back to Rosa Campsite, when we want some peace and quiet!
Thank you!

Liked Quiet site. Friendly owner. Facilities clean and well maintained. Enjoyed stay and would have happily have stayed longer.

Disliked Some wait for showers/wash rooms at busier times. Ideally would benefit for another shower block.

Local attractions

Beachy options of all flavours are within easy reach if you’d like to expand your paddling horizons beyond Chapel Point. Drive for 10 minutes to reach the natural dunes of Anderby Creek or head the other way for all sorts of amusements in Ingoldmells. The seaside resort of Skegness is about 20 minutes away; traditional fun here includes amusement arcades. Skegness Aquarium has a fab collection of marine animals including sharks, octopus and colourful clown fish, and animal fans should take a detour to Skegness's Natureland Seal Sanctuary too. Gunby Hall, a National Trust property 20 minutes away, makes another great day out: take the house tour before wandering round the walled gardens and wildflower areas of the estate and having a genteel game of croquet.
