  • Peaceful adults-only site on the edge of Chapel St Leonards
  • A 10-minute drive to Fantasy Island and 20 minutes to Skegness
  • Wide, sandy and dog-friendly Chapel Point beach 10 minutes' walk away
Pack your beach gear if you’re heading to Rosa Campsite – this adults-only site is a mere few minutes’ amble from a long, sandy beach. There’s a peaceful rural vibe here, with acres of farmland views to gaze out over, but it's all only 20 minutes' walk from the pubs, cafés and small supermarket in the coastal village of Chapel St Leonards. The site is also only a 10-minute walk from the dog-friendly Chapel Point beach. Vicky and Shaun have set up their site in a quiet spot and take pride in the friendly and helpful welcome they offer to guests. Pitches are in a large grass field that’s pleasingly flat, with plenty of space for barbecues. Showers are close by for convenient riddance of accumulated sand; they’re free to use and kept mightily clean. A washing-up area and recycling facility are also provided to keep the place spick and span. If your walking boots want a bit of action, it'll take you 25 minutes to drive over to the Lincolnshire Wolds, where you can hit the trails through woodland and grassland to see the wildlife now abundant in the abandoned chalk pits.

What customers say

Small, peaceful, adults-only spot. Clean basic facilities, hot showers. Short walk to beach & shops. Friendly, helpful owners. Can get busy though, so loos/showers might be scarce. No WiFi.

Electric grass pitch

Liked A beautiful little gem of a campsite with absolutely spotless facilities.
The location is excellent and just a short walk to Chapel St Leonard’s and the North Sea observatory.
We found the owner John to be extremely welcoming and very friendly.
We were able to watch a stunning sunset from our pitch whilst enjoying a drink and the site was so quiet that the only noise was the wildlife which was amazing.
We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this perfect site.

Disliked There was nothing to dislike

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked The grass was mown regularly so that it was like a bowling green. Shaun puts a great deal of effort in keeping his site looking pristine.
The shower and toilet looked to be recently refurbished with new water heaters and nice flooring. They were kept immaculate. Ignore previous comments about the lack of toilet rolls, there were plenty in all the toilets!
I loved my stay here and will come back again. It’s a small basic site.. just perfect.

Disliked Other campers’ barking dogs… we all come away to this type of site for a quiet peaceful break..
Obviously that’s not the site owners responsibility.. just me having a moan.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Good Location, Easy to travel to Chapel St Leonards via car and foot. Short drive to Skegness and Mablethorpe. Toilets/shower was nice and clean.

Disliked Unfortunately when we arrived the male owner was very rude and brash to us, we only politely asked if it was possible to move our pitch due to our camper needing very flat footing.. we were told we can park outside the gate/go home. Not a very nice welcome following a long drive and completely unnecessary.

Local attractions

Beachy options of all flavours are within easy reach if you’d like to expand your paddling horizons beyond Chapel Point. Drive for 10 minutes to reach the natural dunes of Anderby Creek or head the other way for all sorts of amusements in Ingoldmells. The seaside resort of Skegness is about 20 minutes away; traditional fun here includes amusement arcades. Skegness Aquarium has a fab collection of marine animals including sharks, octopus and colourful clown fish, and animal fans should take a detour to Skegness's Natureland Seal Sanctuary too. Gunby Hall, a National Trust property 20 minutes away, makes another great day out: take the house tour before wandering round the walled gardens and wildflower areas of the estate and having a genteel game of croquet.
