  • Landscaped adults-only site with 10 acres and two carp fishing lakes
  • A 15-minute drive to Boston or RSPB Frampton Marsh
  • Dog-friendly; easy access from A16 or A17
Ten acres of space, two fishing lakes, two main roads close by for easy journeys… the numbers stack up pretty well for Walnut Lakes, in the Lincolnshire countryside just under 15 minutes’ drive from Boston. There’s plenty of space to relax at this park, and it’s all reserved for the grownups, as children aged 14 and under are not permitted on site. Dogs are very welcome, however, and can have a good stretch of the legs on the dedicated half-mile dog walk. As the park is so handily placed for both the A16 and A17, it’s also easy to get out and about to lots of other good places for a walk (whether you’re taking a dog or not…) The central highlight of this farm site is the two lakes, Walnut and Daisy – both fabulous spots for fishing (please bring the relevant licence along) or simply chilling out by the water and enjoying the views. You’ll get views across the lakes from all around the park too, if you’d rather hide out in your own little private corner for a while. This is a park with something of a rural atmosphere, but it’s also one that’s well placed for amenities – within a mile you can walk to a couple of pubs, shops, a restaurant and bus stops (for services to Boston and Spalding). The surrounding area has plenty more to offer in terms of places to eat, drink and shop as well. And of course, it’s well supplied with attractions for your days out too – have a look at the information on site for some ideas.

What customers say

Spacious, level pitches, great facilities, and super friendly owners (shout-out to Justina!). Ideal for anglers with stocked lakes. Some road noise, but a peaceful vibe and ongoing improvements make it a great spot.

Power optional gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (lake view)

Liked Good sizes pitches, the owners were amazing, good communication throughout and nothing was to much trouble, very reasonable rates reflected in the sites current layout, Justina nd her partner made our stay as good as they could and that goes a long way. If you fish there are 2 small lakes

Disliked The facilities are very basic for a site, it was quite nosiy from the nearby roads, there was no WIFI (we were okay we had our own luckily as I have to work), no grey water tank for our motorhome, shower blocks were wooden huts with outside sensor lights inside which would cut out if you didnt keep on the move, these facilities are desperately needing improving, would recommend as a cheapo stop over but npt long stay yet.

That said the owners were very clear they had aquired the site and had big plans for it, which you can see they were working hard on daily while we were there. Justina and your partner, - please don't be offended with this review, this site will be amazing I am sure once modernised and proper shower blocks etc are installed and you have worked your magic on the site, I also know speaking to you guys that you are installing Starlink across the site so keep it up!

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked We stayed here for 3 nights during the severe heat weather warnings at the end of June.

It is a pretty, clean, well kept and well laid out site and Justyna was very polite and helpful. No waiting around on arrival, and gave local information.

We stayed in a tent, the pitches were flat and seemed well spaced, however we were the only tent there, so couldn't really tell what it would be like if fully booked.
I would prefer pitches to be separated, so you had some privacy from neighbouring tents, but again, as we were the only tent, wasn't a problem.

We pitched our tent by the hedge nearest the road so we could get some shade in the afternoon and had a nice view of the smaller lake - expect insects, pitches are next to water.

The road noise is noticeable but this was expected and really doesn't bother me that much so wouldn't deduct anything from the rating for this; visiting again I'd probably look to pitch the tent the other side of the lake to see if it made any difference. The traffic did however make it difficult pulling out of the site to turn right - very few breaks in the traffic flow.

The facilities were more than adequate, they were clean and had plenty of room in the showers.

We also liked that there are no children under 14 allowed.

Can't remember if there was WiFi or not so havent rated that. The mobile data signal was great though and allowed us to watch the football!!

Disliked We found it a bit odd having cameras over the pitches. Not sure if they're there due to the fishing rules or some other reason. Isn't a huge issue and hasn't affected the rating, it just isn't something we've seen before and as we enjoy camping to getaway from the city & everyday life, it just felt a bit uncomfortable.

From the manager: Hello there,

Thank you for your review and for taking time to give us a feedback which we always appreciate and take into account.

I do apologise if you didn’t like the fact that we have CCTV covering the public areas just in case but please rest assured cameras aren’t looking onto pitches and privacy of our guests is important to us.

Cameras are there to protect you and us in case of any tress-passing or any incident, our lakes don’t have any barriers so we need to be mindful of that too. Cameras are overlooking the lake and the main path leading onto the road outside the borders of the campsite and at the back where we can’t see. Rest assured no one is watching guests on their pitches but we would rather keep you all and us safe, better to be safe than sorry . If you would rather stay somewhere where campsite isn’t concerned for your safety we understand but we believe differently.

Many thanks for your time to review and for staying with us,

Justina
