  • Quiet adults-only park among Lincolnshire farmland; dogs allowed
  • A 20-minute drive from beaches at Skegness and Mablethorpe
  • Half a mile from the village pub and shop
A warm and friendly welcome awaits at The Nurseries Caravan Park, an adults-only, dog-friendly park in a semi-rural setting in Lincolnshire. Set at the end of a quiet lane and surrounded by farmland, this site is well-placed for relaxing breaks both in the Lincolnshire countryside and by the sea. Coastal trips are particularly easily arranged at Skegness or Mablethorpe, both of which can be reached in about a 20-minute drive. The site is located in the village of Mumby near Alford, and there's a pub and shop about half a mile away on foot or by car (a few last-minute essentials are also available to buy on site). Facilities here include spotless men's and women's toilets and showers, one of which is suitable for people with reduced mobility. There is also a laundry room, a freezer for ice etc., a food preparation area and a separate washing-up sink. Adjacent to the facilities block, there is also a chemical waste disposal point for tourers. Handily, the site has an on-site café for tasty snacks and daily essentials. The Nurseries Caravan Park is very pet-friendly, and there is plenty of safe off-site dog walking to be had in the surrounding area for exploration with your four-legged friend.

What customers say

This adults-only site gets praise for spacious, level pitches, often with artificial turf. Guests rave about the incredibly friendly, helpful staff and the clean, peaceful vibe. The on-site cafe and honesty shop are hits. While generally clean, a few note the shower/toilet block could use an update and more heat. Great location for attractions and dog walks.

Liked Nice quite site well apart from the building work. Looks like it’s all finished now. Good size level pitches. The wardens Dave and Julie are a helpful couple. And cook a mean very well priced breakfast. The pub was fine although you have to book for a meal. Very little room if you gust want a drink.

FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked This is a brilliant site and the pitches are huge and I mean huge I have never stayed on a site that the pitches have been that big . Dave and his wife Tracy do a brilliant job keeping the site spotless and they are the most nicest couple you could wish for. This site as everything free WiFi all pitches have 16 amp EHU water hook up grey waste the showers and toilets spotless it never matters what time of day or night always hot water for a shower but it was that hot I was having a nice cold shower every night to cool myself down they have a laundry room to wash and dry your clothes a room to wash your dishes if need be plus you can use there fridge and freezer if need be . While we where staying we booked to come again in September and I can't wait it's a fabulous site. They have a little cafe here Tracy cooks a lovely breakfast. There are loads of great walks to take your dog or dogs just one rule must be kept on lead at all times which they should all pubs nearby are dog friendly even the cafes are .
The wife and I are already counting the days down for when we come September. Thank you Dave and Tracy for a great time here love Paul and Tracy even Tyson says woof woof thank you for the sausages xxx

Disliked Can't believe they have this question what's to dislike.................. NOTHING ITS A 1ST CLASS SITE THANK YOU

FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Spacious serviced pitch. Toilets and showers spotless. Well stocked honesty shop. The wardens were all very informative. We enjoyed a very reasonably priced breakfast on our last morning. Dogs grateful for biscuits and bacon. Within easy walking distance of pub, good food but worth booking as it gets very busy. Close to bus stop for Skegness and Mablethorpe. Easy dog walk behind site across fields.

Local attractions

The small seaside town of Sutton on Sea (15 minutes' drive) is an excellent place to start exploring the Lincolnshire coast, with its attractive seafront, pretty public gardens and spectacular natural beach. The place feels more like a village than a town and is a world away from the bright lights and buzzing arcades of similarly nearby Skegness and Mablethorpe (both 20 minutes), both of which are also well worth visiting in their own right. For a change of scene, you could continue along the coast to the Seal Sanctuary (20 minutes), where sick and wounded sea creatures are nursed back to full health, or head inland instead to the National Trust property of Gunby Hall (15 minutes), a handsome 1700s country house with Victorian walled gardens. If you're happy to head slightly further afield, you could sample local ales at Batemans Brewery (25 minutes), plan jaunts to traditional market towns like Louth (35 minutes), a famed foodie hotspot, or leave the countryside behind to visit the cathedral city of Lincoln (an hour) and its pretty medieval streets.
