Wonderful 3 night stay. We will definitely return
The Nurseries camping pod
Liked We've just returned from a wonderful 3 night's stay in the camping pod. Check in was effortless and we were quickly taken to our pod which is conveniently located next to reception and the shower block. A big thank you to the very friendly Kerry who did a splendid job of making us feel very welcome and answer any questions we had.
The location is so peaceful but not too remote. Chapel Saint Leonards and Alford are both a short 10 minutes drive away whilst Skegness snd Mablethorpe are only 20 minutes away by car.
The pod was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and there was ample space inside for us to put our other bits and bobs. There are a couple of chairs outside of the pod and we also brought our camping table so we could sit outside and relax during the evening.
The shower and toilet block are literally 10 seconds walk away. They were clean and always available during our stay.

Liked We loved our stay at The Nurseries. We stayed 2 nights in our tent with our dog, the pitch size was great, plenty of room and great value for money. The site itself is a lovely place, with a great dog friendly pub just up the road. We used the site as a base camp for visiting family in Sutton on Sea which was a nice bendy 15 min drive away. Nice facilities on site and helpful, friendly staff. We will definitely be using the site again in the future

FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked The pitches were a good size and had astrotuft next to them. The site was adult only, it was quiet, we were greeted upon arrival by the manager, who was friendly and professional. The toilets and showers were spacious and clean. There were facilties for washing and drying clothes also washing up. Regular buses about 10 - 15 mins walk away and the pub is near by. Highly recommended site.
Disliked A postbox for return of fobs when leaving.

A good stay with a couple of issues
FHU cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked The location is good, between Skegness & Mablethorpe. The park is located behind a working farm so the road is a little bumpy to the entrance, you're provided with a fob to open the barrier once checked in. The staff were very friendly & helpful.
The pitch was a mixture of gravel & astro turf, it was level but the layout wasn't conventional, the electric point was at the back left hand side of the pitch but the tap connection was quite far away on the right hand side on the boundary with next door's pitch, so it's a good job I have 2 hoses to connect together or it wouldn't have worked as a service pitch which was what I booked & paid for. The waste is just a small hole in the ground. I did notice that other pitches were laid out differently with the electric and water connections on the same post like most sites. The facilities were ok but could do with a revamp, and are quite poor for a disabled person.
Disliked The water pressure is very high & kept blowing my hose connection apart & flooding the pitch, this happened 3 times & I had to purchase some metal fittings to prevent it happening again, I think the plastic fittings got damaged when bursting apart as I've never had this issue before & we always use service pitches. The elsan point is just a drain with a piece of bent metal formed into a handle on the lid, so there is a high possibility of splashback when emptying the cassette if too vigorous. There was no flush, just a hosepipe to rinse around but again as the water pressure was so high it sprays all over the place, although some people seemed not to bother doing this and just left their mess for others to clean up!
As mentioned above, the shower block needs improving, especially for disabled people, there is 1 cubicle in each of the male & female showers, this needs to have a separate accessible cubicle as it is not suitable when the disabled person is unable to access themselves.

Liked We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Nurseries Caravan Park. The site has a lovely feel to it as everyone we met were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Tilly, the Warden, was very helpful and greeted us warmly on arrival. Some reviews have commented on the number of showers however we did not find this an issue and never had to queue. Overall we had a lovely time and would definitely return.
