What customers say
This quiet sheep farm campsite boasts spacious sites, great views, and spotless facilities (including a fantastic shower!). Guests loved the peaceful vibe and convenient location. While some felt facilities were basic and could use small upgrades, most had a wonderful stay and want to come back. Occasional train noise was barely noticeable.

A refreshingly simple, cheap camp in a beautiful setting
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (medium)
Liked This is a self-serve, farmer's field.
It is a lovely spot, beautiful views and very tranquil.
Lovely, open space.
A 5 minute walk from the village where my extended family were staying - ideal location.
The shower was fantastic!
Disliked Porta -loos. Just two of them.
It wasn't clear how often or if they were cleaned, and they were pretty smelly.
I understand there's not another option just yet, but plumbed in water toilets would make all the difference.
Also, to help others, no washing area other than the one shower.
We were fine for a few days.

Very good campsite if you want somewhere simple and quiet
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (medium)
Liked Very quiet, plenty of space, toilets and shower very clean, nice and powerful shower plenty of room in there, very helpful host, had a minor problem with our wrong pitch number when we turned up but within less than 2 minutes we were given a new pitch number that was the same size
Disliked Only bad thing I can think of was that the drinking water was very warm but I cannot blame the host for that due to the extreme summer we’ve had.

Excellent overnight stay
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (medium)
Liked It was excellent. Pitches were spacious and well set out. The toilets and shower were clean and the water station was easily accessible. The sheep in the field kept us entertained. It was also quiet and tucked away.
Disliked Nothing to dislike. You could hear the trains occasionally but that didn’t bother us.

Powered grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The campsite is very peaceful and quiet, based on a small sheep farm.
Good size pitches, grass or electric hook up. It has portaloos and the most amazing hot shower, and as a new site the owner is constantly looking to make improvements.
There is a train line that runs along the far edge of the field but it's not intrusive at all, nothing like having constant road noise!
Highly recommend this site if you want a well located but peaceful site.
