  • Luxurious Gloucestershire accommodation in the Forest of Dean
  • Gloucester city centre 20 minutes’ drive; Symonds Yat 25 minutes
  • Converted railway carriages with woodburners and private hot tubs
Couple or young family heading for the Forest of Dean for some relaxation time or lots of outdoors activity? Whatever your holiday schedule, you’ll surely appreciate staying in style at Broom Hill Retreat, just on the outskirts of Longhope, a village in Gloucestershire. The luxuriously converted and prettily decorated railway carriages have plenty of home comforts including double beds, woodburners for chillier days, storage space and comfy seating. Quality dressing gowns, bed linens and towels are all provided too. Moving outside, each carriage has decking, a covered kitchen with a dining table and all the gear you need for barbecues, as well as a private hot tub looking out over the Gloucestershire countryside. There are also private compost loos and shower huts for every unit. Small and well-behaved dogs are allowed, and there are enclosed gardens to keep them safe and secure. There is ample parking available here, and the site is on the main bus routes from both Gloucester and Ross-on-Wye. Within a five-minute driving radius, there is a grocery store, pub and garden centre with a tearoom.
