What customers say
Great location for local sights & walks. Brewery with live music, good burgers, clean facilities were highlights. But, reviews note frequent shortages of toilet paper/soap, cold showers, uneven pitches, high cost & lack of management.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked We stayed here with our 3 adult children for 3 nights and loved it. We found the pitches to be large enough for us all and the host went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The toilet blocks were clean and the pitches and surrounding areas, well maintained. Sadly the brewery was no longer there but the local pub, just a short walk away served really lovely food.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Other than the location - this was a poor experience and the description on pitch up is very misleading
Disliked Tap room was closed and website did not state this.
Coffee shop / cafe was closed and is apparently permanently closed but is still advertised
Dog poo everywhere, despite paying extra to have our dogs there… we had to pick other dog poo off our pitch as well as cleaning up our own.
Thistles everywhere and craters in the ground from it being so dry.
Basically paid to sleep in a field
No elsan point
No vending machine as described on the website.
No staff anywhere to speak to or discuss the above with

It's a no frills basic campsite. Don't expect too much from it.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Nice quiet location. Very clean toilets. Didn't ever see anyone cleaning them but they were always spotless. Showers could do with an upgrade but we're a good size and the water was almost instantly hot.
Disliked There's a micro brewery attached but note.... it's only open Thurs, Fri and Sat. There are no other facilities on site.
