Great spot.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great views, good toilet ,shower block, washing facilities for the price, bonus of a small shop.

Great site, clean facilities, nice shop and excellent playground.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great site. Amazing playground for kids with pitches close by so that you can keep an eye on them. The shop is well stocked and the facilities were clean and decent.
We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night. The Saturday was quite lovely with kids on the playground, people playing music, etc. But nothing that earplugs can't solve. The Sunday night was the polar opposite - peaceful, quiet and calm. Lovely to see a site that can do both.
Will definitely be staying here again!

Great campsite, would stay again for sure. Perfect for families
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Flat pitches. Plenty of space. Clean toilets and showers. Good shop. The pizza van is highly recommended.
Everything is great here..
Disliked This isn’t the fault of the campsite but they suggest no noise after a certain time at night but there was loads of noise until nearly midnight.

Bikers must,
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Well kept site. Friendly locals, and as a biker lovely roads. And to top it all a pub just reopened 9 mins walk from site. Brilliant.
Disliked Nothing ,just a bit windy when I arrived.

Great site, friendly staff, nice views.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Great site. Booked last minute, 30 minutes before reception closed. Staff were friendly. Quiet as we stayed on a Sunday and Monday night. Toilets were clean. Shop on site and managed to get fresh milk in a morning. Lovely farm, Donkeys, sheep, pigs. We didn't require it but nice childrens play area and pizza van on a weekend. Great access for Matlock Bath and Bakewell

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Nice campsite, I managed to catch a quiet Sunday night – only two other groups arriving later in the day. Lovely and peaceful, minimal noise in the area. Facilities were clean, site is definitely family-friendly and seems like potential to get busy, but during term-time on a rainy Sunday night it was good for quiet solo travel. Cars, vans & tents all go in the same field. Easy enough to find and no single-track lanes on the way there.
From the driveway – reception is at the front of the grey stone house on the left, parking spaces in front. The field to the right (in front of the caravans, with the playground on it) seems to be the main one for quieter periods, with the larger field (straight on from the road) being closed Sunday night. Toilets are in the wooden building on the right as you enter the field.

The best campsite I’ve been to
Primitive grass campsite
Liked I liked absolutely everything. I’ve been camping for many years. Sometimes up to twenty camping trips per year. This is my favourite. The people on site were friendly. The field was clean and freshly cut. The surrounding fields were occupied with wonderful farmland animals like sheep and horses. The toilets were clean and private. The pigs were lovely as walked to the facilities.
Even and on site shop which was an added bonus. I loved it and cannot wait to go back again. I make camping YouTube videos and I will definitely be recommending this site to my subscribers as well.
Disliked Not one thing about Middlehills did I dislike. I’ve raved to my family and friends about this campsite. Even to other campers at the next two campsites I visited on my trip.
