What customers say
This well-kept site boasts superb, clean facilities: showers, toilets, communal kitchen & lounge. Spacious, private pitches with water/waste hookups. Beautiful area, perfect for local sights & hikes, with a village pub nearby. Some mention road noise (early mornings), but most found it manageable, especially evenings. WiFi can be spotty.

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt campervan campsite (no awning)

Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt campervan campsite (no awning)
Liked Facilities were exceptionally clean. Great Location. Stunning Views and a very peaceful campsite, although you could hear some noise from the road it wasn't excessive. Not much signage to be able to find waste facilities or the chemical disposal point.

A well thought-out campsite.

Liked The facilities here are excellent- they’ve thought of everything! Loved the fact I could use a microwave in the very well-stocked kitchen. The guests’ lounge with a large TV, dining table, comfy sofas was lovely. Lots of information gathered together about what to do in the local area made an interesting read.
It was easy to check in and each pitch had its own water connection and waste outlet /drain. I liked how they were enclosed with shrubs and railway sleepers so it gave an air of privacy.
Great WiFi. Everywhere clean. Beautifully tended flower tubs and shrubs.
The staff on duty were lovely too.
Disliked It was hard to ignore the road noise, especially during the day.

Mostly great but depends on your pitch
Powered cement/asphalt and grass campervan campsite (no awning, small)
Liked Toilets and showers are modern and clean, with loads of room. Really appreciated the campers kitchen with kettle, toaster and microwave and the lounge would be great in poor weather.
The view from our pitch was mixed - beautiful on one side and the wall of the facilities block on the other.
It was a snug pitch next to the other camper van, on hard standing with lots of grass nearby - it did say it was small on the website so fair enough.
Great meal at The Church Inn in nearby Chelmorton. Highly recommend. And a short drive to the ice cream farm nearby for fantastic ice cream.
Disliked Right next to the toilet block which was ok with only 2 Campervan pitches taken. However, if the other 3 pitches were in use, I think they would end up walking right through your pitch to get to the building, which would put me off staying when busy.
Road noise
Our electric cable had to go straight across the next door campervan pitch due to the location of the EHU plug on the toilet block wall. Luckily they were very nice about it, but felt a bit awkward - and a massive trip hazard if other pitches needed to walk past to the facilities.

Brilliant place for a couple of nights touring the area.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass campervan campsite (no awning, small)
Liked Probably the best amenities that I have had in about 25 years of camping.
I honestly can't fault the place.
Our pitch number 17 had amazing views and a brilliant sunset.
We also watched in the evening the local farmer collecting and bailing his hay.
When they finished for the night we got a wave as they drove past.
Disliked Nothing at all

Liked It was clean, quiet, well signed and communicated. Also the views are absolutely incredible. I watched the sunset from my campervan and it was perfect
Disliked It wasn’t stated in advance that dogs aren’t allowed in the toilets which is not ideal if travelling on your own on a hot day.
