What customers say
Spectacular views & peaceful vibe. Farmer Ed is a super helpful host. Spacious, sloped pitches with great vistas. Basic but clean facilities, hot showers. Fire pits available. Track can be bumpy. Some found men's toilets basic (portaloos).

The view and the quietness of…
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The view and the quietness of this campsite are its best qualities. We liked being able to use the fire pits and wood. We were able to sit back with a beer and watch the sunset over the hills near Dovedale. Very good friendly pub with good food in Kniveton 25 minute walk via a rugged footpath.
Disliked The very basic facilities. Recycling needed collecting.

Some improvement needed but still very enjoyable.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Very Beautiful view
Friendly and helpful staff
Spacious campsite with very good separation
Lovely Sheep nearby
Warm shower
Disliked Gents Toilet is just a temporary dry toilet
Access road to the campsite is rough
Fire / gas hub cooking at the specific zone instead of camping field (maybe due to dry season), need to well plan to preventing keep walking between camping field and cooking zone

Lovely campsite
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Absolutely lovely stay here.
Beautiful views and so peaceful, rightly so they banned any naked flames on the fields.
They set up a nice little communal area further down on a non grass surface which was fab.
Ed was really helpful and friendly and explained everything and where to pitch when we got there.
Toilets and showers available were clean and a great addition.

Size and allocated pitches made for…
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Size and allocated pitches made for a relaxing and peaceful time. The campsite is small enough to feel genuinely relaxing. It had a family friendly feel and farmer Ed was very friendly and helpful. The pub is a 10 min walk through the fields and was a great spot. The ladies toilets were well kept.
Disliked The mens toilets sadly let this place down and would limit a visit longer than 1 night, it felt unfair for the men to have just a portaloo whereas the women had a full block, I felt for my partner (I am a woman). Installing a similar set up for the men as the women would be a great touch and make this a 10* place.

Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Great welcome from a friendly owner which is how campsites should be . Best thing I can say is if you want to relax and have great views and beautiful sunset then this is the place for you . Not fancy or grand but chilled and very well run ! Lots of birds of prey around with kestrels hoping about round our van . Fire pits were great in the communal area thanks Ed my little girl had the best time just playing in your land
