What customers say
This beautiful rural campsite offers spacious, pitch-anywhere camping with allowed fires. Guests praise the stunning views, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly, helpful staff. Facilities include a useful communal kitchen with fridge and hob, along with clean, albeit sometimes busy, restrooms. The site's proximity to a lovely pub and woodland walks is also highlighted. Some mention access roads can be challenging and that extra restrooms would be beneficial during peak times. Overall, it's a highly recommended, relaxed escape.

Lovely site for down to earth campers, it's not luxury but lovely...
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The open space, pitch anywhere style of camping. Fire pits allowed is great, we WILL NOT book a site if they don't allow fires. Communal kitchen with large fridge is great, as is the two ring gas stove provided in the kitchen, and the kettle and the complementary tea and coffee, a really nice touch...as well as the toaster ...toilets and showers are quaint, and functional, although one of the toilets didn't flush too well..it was quiet during our stay but I like the site policy of no music after 10pm is a solid idea, after all it's a family friendly camp site, not a music festival...
Disliked The access road really is a first gear job, I would hate to try it on low profile tyres, didn't worry us though as we have a Nissan X Trail...We could only find one point of access for water and this was the wash up sink...the wash up sink didn't drain very well either, probably just needs a good clear out, otherwise we had a lovely time...

Disliked the route to the pub could have been better signposted as I think we ended up going a longer route as there was only one signpost but a couple of ways

Liked The setting is beautiful - big open sky in the field, woodlands to explore. Toilets were clean and accessible. Use of the fridges was so so useful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved being able to rent a fire pit for the evenings. All round just a wonderful site to stay at and explore.
