Liked: No hassle, friendly service that leaves you to it. Suitable toilets, showers and taps. Pay to use water park next door with open lakes suitable for kayaking. Surprisingly quiet given how close to reading centre

Liked: Pitch area
Disliked: That we had to pay separately for each and every activity which became tedious with regards to multiple wrist bands.
We should have been given access to the family beach free as part of the camping price at least.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Close to reading town
Disliked: Three portaloos and two cold showers with no privacy to the person showering next to you, nobody to greet you on arrival had to go looking for the main reception, not allowed cars by your pitch. Nobody to say where to pitch up the site was very full so we were near enough on top of each other. It would’ve been okay if it was cheaper but for £30 per night was disgusting really.

Liked: After seeing the bad reviews we were worried but the staff have taken them on board and made changes. There was no rubbish, friendly staff, very helpful as we went home in the middle of the night with a sick child and left everything! The staff let us collect our tent later than check out and looked after our belongs.
It’s a basic campsite but good value for money, didn’t get to enjoy the lake but will do next time.
Disliked: Booked over reading festival weekend and had people from the festival staying there who woke the kids up - mostly our fault for not thinking.
Showers don’t have much privacy

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: I really liked how close the car park was to the field itself which made putting the tents up extremely easy. In addition, you could even drive into the field itself. The field itself was spacious and it could fit many tents and caravans inside as well as still having comfortable spaces in-between each camper. On the first night, our group arrived late and it had already become dark but we were met with very selfless campers who offered their torch to us while we set our tent up. The toilets were topped with toilet roll early every morning and there was access to drinking water on site which was a huge help.
Disliked: The only problem was the geese in the morning but we were already aware of this.

Liked: Campsite felt safe and relaxed, the few staff we came into contact with were friendly.
Disliked: The campsite should invest in better toilet facilities (dirty portaloo toilets and freezing shower facilities).
