  • Award-winning site in the small Carmarthenshire village of Cenarth
  • A 15-minute drive from the coast; 45 minutes from Oakwood theme park
  • Bar and restaurant on site, with a spa and pool for an additional fee
Waterfall walks, cheese appreciation, leaping salmon, bobbing about in a coracle… there are several reasons why folk would settle in the little Carmarthenshire village of Cenarth. And you can add to that mix the fine collection of facilities at Cenarth Falls Resort, an award-winning site 10 minutes’ walk from the village’s pubs, cafés and small supermarket. Many certificates of excellence have been bestowed upon this park over the years – even the toilet block has been the recipient of its own gong. Bring the kids along, though, and they won’t bat an eyelid at such things – they’ll most likely be rather too distracted by spending time at the play area or challenging pals in the games room. The on-site spa, bar and restaurant are some of the real highlights of this resort – it’s a place where you can settle with a drink in the comfy bar or pay a little extra for access to the adjacent spa, which has an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna and a gym. At some point, for more food perhaps, it’s worth heading over to the nearest town, Newcastle Emlyn, five minutes’ drive away, for self-catering supplies and/or a range of pubs, restaurants and takeaways.

What customers say

Great location, clean facilities & friendly staff. Well-kept site, good pitches, on-site bar/restaurant & popular spa/pool. Some suggest more showers/toilets, Wi-Fi issues & facility costs. Some noise & not ideal for toddlers. Many keen to return.

Liked Location was in a beautiful area with lovely walks and beautiful views. We were also able to bring our dogs which was lovely.

Disliked Service at the bar/restaurant is terrible. There is a young girl working there who works so hard but the others were standing talking while she was running around like a headless chicken. Went for food on Sunday at 130pm and waited 30 minutes to be told they'd run out of food.. then they decided they could serve us and we waited another 20 minutes and they hadn't even taken our order so we left. Very poor service. It also states there is a shop on site, however, it is not a shop - there are a few products you can purchase at the reception and it is very minimal. We also had to pay £40 to use the pool which i think is bonkers considering we paid to stay on site.

Liked The toilet facilities were immaculate and the staff very friendly.

Disliked Recycling could be improved. Only card/paper, glass and general waste available so no facility for cans or plastic.
Also, facilities are expensive; outdoor pool not in use and £10 per person to use indoor pool inc. children. (We went for a swim in the river instead as it was low and slow running 😉)

Liked Amazing spa and bar. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Everything was reasonably priced and a beautiful little village with a couple of pubs, shops, cafes and a beautiful Riverside walk. Wifi reached to the caravan. All toilet, shower and disposal facilities were immaculate. We're definitely visiting again I really can't speak highly enough of this place we absolutely lived every second there

Local attractions

You’ll want to start with a stroll around Cenarth, of course – those waterfalls are a 10-minute walk away, and the Teifi river is an excellent place for an amble, particularly when the salmon are jumping in late summer. It’s worth stopping in at the village’s National Coracle Centre to learn a bit about the traditional round boats, and taking the 10-minute drive to Caws Cenarth to sample the tasty local cheese. Cenarth’s also a handy location for outings to the coast – try Cardigan (15 minutes’ drive) for dolphin-spotting trips, or Aberporth (20 minutes) for beach days – or walks in the Preseli Hills, around 15 minutes away by car. Cilgerran Castle (15 minutes), the National Trust estate at Llanerchaeron (35 minutes) and the tiny city of St Davids (an hour) also make excellent days out. And if you’ve got the kids along, it’s quite possible (and reasonable) that they’ll be keen to add to the schedule days at Oakwood theme park and meeting the only giraffes in Wales at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (both around 45 minutes’ drive).
