What customers say
Great spot with amazing mountain views and easy access to the village and walks. Campers loved the friendly staff, spacious, tidy sites and clean facilities. It's peaceful and quiet at night. A few minor Wi-Fi or shower block gripes, but most loved it and would come back.

Amazing Staff
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The campground was great and the staff were so amazing! I was there with a friend to climb snowdon and had an pretty servere issue on the mountain that meant going to A&E so we didn't get back until late. They were quick to respond over email which was a massive weight of our shoulders. They were completely understanding and really helpful! If I ever come back to snowdon I will 100% be coming back here

Liked Friendly staff willing to help and answer questions
Site very clean and nose was minimal
Entrance and carpark felt secure.
Toilets and showers were always open and warm
Free WiFi was great… little patchy but can’t complain it was handy to have as no phone signal.
Large pitches which would be great for a big family
Disliked The showers were not always clean and nothing to clean floor with so you had to run shower to clear floor before you could use (not so much sites fault more walkers being mucky)

Liked I loved the welcome I got. As I arrived, the lovely lady at reception knew my name (number plate gave it away). I received an tour of the map, where I was and where things are. The facilities were very clean. The toilets and showers were perfect, the showers were warm and very comfortable.
Disliked WiFi was not strong enough to reach where I was, I almost needed to stand up in the middle of the van to get it

Perfect place to stay to enjoy Snowdonia
Powered concrete and grass motorhome site
Liked What a beautiful campsite. It’s got great facilities. Pitches are brilliant sizes and the whole site is perfectly maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially when we requested a pitch move on day 2 as the pitch we had although nice, was a bit cold and it seemed every where else got the lovely autumn sun that we experienced during our stay.
The site is a 10 min walk to Beddgelert, which has great pubs, cafes and shops. There are plenty of walks in the area and we walked to and went into the Copper mines.
We took advantage of the buses in the area and we went to Caernarfon, Porthmadog and following a walk to Nant Gwynant we hopped on the bus to Pen y Pas to look at Snowdon from the comfort of the YHA hostel.
We will definitely be back to this beautiful campsite to visit this stunning part of the world . Oh and as a bonus the WiFi was brilliant. We was able to watch a film one night on Netflix with no buffering at all.
Disliked Just a little thing. Some lights around pathways would be good especially from W to the toilet block at night

Liked This is a lovely campsite, possibly one of the nicest I've ever stayed at.
The drive in itself is beautiful, with amazing views of the valley you're in and good paved solid roads.
The signage is very clear once your on site, explaining you need to head to reception before you are allowed on site.
The staff are so informative and helpful, giving you a map of the site and highlighting all the important areas.
The site itself is very well maintained with cut grass, well organised vehicle parking and one way systems, there are serval shower and toilet blocks with pot wash points too, all with instant hot water and abundantly available facilities.
The waste management for bins is great too, with many different waste streams for all different types of recycling.
There is also great WIFI all over site with small WIFI booster poles dotted about the place. Without these there would be no signal at all.
I will definitely be visiting Cau Du Campsite again.
Disliked We were camping in section A10,near the stream. We realised once cozied in bed that the main road ran right next to the stream and heard quite a lot of road noise throughout the night. We did resort to earplugs on our second night which helped a lot.
This honestly is the only thing I can fault with this campsite - I'd truly recommend to visit here.

Amazing location, plenty space, gorgeous surroundings.
Powered concrete and grass motorhome site
Liked Gorgeous surroundings. Plots are well spaced out. Clean facilities. Friendly & welcoming staff. Easy navigation. Ideal location.
Disliked Wifi could only be used in the toilets or near reception. Got 0 signal on the campsite but not too bothered about that as it’s nice to get off grid! Flooding but can’t be helped as the site is right next to a river. Camp site could be better lit at night.
