What customers say
Howard's Wood provides a "wild camping" vibe in private woodland. Reviewers love the peaceful feel, clearings & helpful hosts. Comfy loos, hot showers & communal kitchen. Handy for coast/countryside exploration, with a pub nearby. Some mention uneven ground & dog walker issues. Great for a nature escape!

A great stay, with good facilities and welcoming hosts
Unpowered forest floor campervan or trailer tent site
Liked Excellent communication from host, pretty easy to find and a pitch was reserved before our arrival, we stayed on pitch 5, a area in the woodlands, we had a walk around and the sight was perfect for a one night stay, the stars came out at night and we had a nice opening on pitch 5 to see the stars, we visited the sheep, heard a barn owl screeching at night that was quite eerie but added to the woodland experience we had a nice stay and owners seem lovely and attentive, There was a few lads near by that were having fun but it didnt bother us at all. We had a lovely stay and will definitely book here again for a nightly getaway in the rustic woods, we parked up with friends and they said they would return and took details from us, Thankyou Steph

Unpowered forest floor tent site
Liked Great choice of pitches. Lovely owners. Despite only two loos and two showers, they were sufficient and clean. Good facilities. Wonderful woodland setting. I don't often return to a campsite, but this is one I would definitely consider again.

Peace in the woods.
Unpowered forest floor campervan or trailer tent site
Liked Almost wild camping in the woods. Great pitches in between the trees so you don’t have any direct neighbours and it is really peaceful. Great communications from Steph.
Disliked Maybe a sign from the road to find the entrance but that might just be me.

Liked Excellent back to basics campsite.
Owners are friendly and welcoming, there's hot water for showers and washing up and a composting toilet.
I stayed in a woodland pitch which was lovely and shady. Each pitch is a good distance away from the next one.
I will absolutely be staying here again.
