What customers say
Awesome family spot! Clean, big sites, great facilities like hot showers. Chris & Tina are super welcoming. Kids love the playground, river beach & animal feeds. A bit of road noise & water can run low in peak times.

Lovely campsite with great facilities and lovely owners.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked We have just returned from a lovely bank holiday weekend at south ford campsite and will definitely return in the future.
The facilities are good and kept nice and clean. Plenty available for the amount of pitches on site.
The pitches available are what really makes the campsite better than many we have stayed in previously, each pitch is marked out for you, the pitches are generous is size and you don’t feel like you are stuck right next to the next camper. Lots of shade available in many of the pitches and you are able to go around to pick which one suits you upon arrival.
Lovely play park for the children in the centre of the camp along with a goal and tennis net. We had a 8 year old and 4 year old with us and they both found plenty to do and made lots of friends on the campsite.
The little beach was a nice spot for the kids to have a paddle and stay out of the sun, our 8 year old loved exploring the trees around it.
The camp owners are so kind and helpful with lots of in-site on the local area and seemed genuinely happy to chat and give advice on what to do. Always seemed available around the site if needed.
You can rent fire pits and buy wood at very reasonable prices along with eggs. There is also a fridge, freezer and place to charge things onsite.
The children also loved seeing the sheep and pigs onsite. A lovely added element to the campsite.
Value for money was also amazing. It was the cheapest one we found when looking and seemed much better than the other options!
Disliked The only dislike we had was the large pond onsite, only because of the open water element around children. It is roped off with signs but you definitely do need to be mindful of it with young children as it is close to the park.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Perfect for the kids. They can roam around, play in the playground or the next to the river, or see the sheep or pigs. It is small enough that the kids will make friends easily as well.

Excellent site, friendly owner.
Power optional grass and gravel motorhome site
Liked Chris the owner was lovely and very welcoming. Told us about his sheep - which are pets and his 2 very rare pigs which I'm sure kids would love to see. The site was very picturesque surrounded by fields and trees and extremely quiet.
The toilets and shower were clean and there was a microwave and fridge to use if we wanted.

Charming back to nature site with lovely owners.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked A really great little campsite. The car free field is very pretty with a back to nature feel. Pitches are a good size and well spread out, leaving children plenty of space to explore the play area, games tent and river. They can join in with feeding the pigs and sheep twice a day too, which ours particularly enjoyed.
The owners were really friendly and obviously take great pride in their site. Everything was very clean and well cared for.
On a practical level the site has all basic needs met. Reliable hot showers, washing up area, phone charging, fridge freezers and wifi if you want it.
This is our second visit here. We would definitely come again.

Power optional grass and gravel motorhome site
Liked Lovely host, willing to accommodate request to locate our group together. The site is maintained in a way that felt very close to nature. A quiet site, great for children or for a quiet break.
Disliked Some pitches on an incline however 2 campervan pitches next to piggies were level. Only 2 showers so might have been tricky if the site was full however all facilities were well maintained.
