South Ford Farm Camping is a small, family-run site in north Devon, set peacefully alongside a river. Here you can get far, far away from the rat race to watch sheep grazing in the fields, paddle in the river and enjoy the sunset along with your evening barbecue (available to hire on site; wood and firepits also available). On clear nights, just lie back and watch the Milky Way twinkling far above. Watersports enthusiasts, this is a great base for you. The farm is a 50-minute drive from some of Devon’s most popular surfing beaches, including Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay and Woolacombe. You can explore the wild moorland of Exmoor National Park on foot, horseback or bike, and if the weather’s not co-operating for you, treat the kids to the indoor pool and climbing wall in South Molton, or give beekeeping a go at Quince Honey Farm. A 10-minute drive away, South Molton is your nearest town. Here you can pick up bits in the supermarket or root around artisan food stalls at the Pannier Market (every Thursday and Saturday). For big shopping trips (and restaurants serving all kinds of food) Barnstaple (25 minutes) is your best bet. This is a laidback, simple site with a handful of amenities, including a shower block, washing-up station and recycling facilities. Dogs are welcome, but please, not at pitches by the river.

喜欢 Great (and accessible) facilities, large private pitches, site is beautifully maintained with patches of long grass to create privacy between pitches and little walkways around the site. The play area and “beach” by the stream are lovely additions for kids. Very friendly and helpful hosts, daughter loved watching the animals being fed. WiFi worked even in the furthest pitch which is not an easy feat

Have been to this site multiple times and happily recommended to others. Looking forward to returning!

喜欢 The beautiful site, so pretty and interesting. Lots of trees and shrubs. The privacy of our pitch, fun toilet and shower cubicles in keeping with the feel of the site. Really friendly owner.

喜欢 We had a wonderful stay at this campsite! The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The campsite is located in a beautiful, peaceful setting, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Everything was very clean, the showers always had nice hot water, and we especially loved the fresh eggs for breakfast. It was a fantastic place for a quiet family holiday with children.

We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

喜欢 From the welcome to the goodbye, this place is amazing. Chris was there from the point we arrived to help us through the gate and then on to our pitch. He explained everything in a super friendly way and made sure we were all set. The site is brilliant, set in a beautiful landscape with pitches cleverly demarcated by natural planting and mowing. There are plenty of facilities and lots for kids to do, including feeding the pigs and sheep.

喜欢 The facilities are clean and modern and very accommodating (including phone charging, fridge and freezer, and available fire pits etc.

We really enjoyed that it's not just another empty field or with perfectly divided pitches devoid of character. It has heaps of charm and is quiet enough to enjoy it at your own pace.

The owners Chris and Tina are brilliant and very helpful. Nothing bad to say whatsoever, it was perfect!
