What customers say
A friendly rural spot with great views. Clean facilities, welcoming owners and good grub are highlights. Pitches can be a bit sloped/stony, and traffic noise is occasional, but it's a solid thumbs-up for a chill break.

Could be lovely if some effort was made. Very strange vibe from owners

Liked The location
Disliked It was advertised as a pub campsite but the pub was a small bar that only opens Fri/Sat and not even on a bank holiday. Farm shop is advertised but I didn’t see any produce on sale and despite advertising their own cider, when asked at “the bar” all they could offer us was a can of Thatchers. Sat at a table that was full of a left over cream tea, this was not cleared during the whole hour we were sat there, despite staff walking pass several times. No where on site to exercise dogs.
The toilets and showers were really dirty and looked as if they were not cleaned regularly. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left after the first.

Over all a pleasant stay. The owners are very lovely.
Unpowered grass site
Liked Quite small site
Disliked All electric pitches are on a hill so makes camping in a tent tricky.
Not enough showers or toilets for the amount of people camping (only 3 of each) But it was a bank holiday so maybe busier than usual.

Lovely dog-friendly site that allows fires…

Liked Lovely dog-friendly site that allows fires & has big plot allocations. Good toilets & showers that are cleaned regularly. Terrific friendly owner & staff, with amazing food in the barn restaurant - excellent breakfast, cream tea & cakes.
Disliked The road that runs along one side is fairly busy in the day, though pretty quiet at night.

Liked Location is great. Views are excellent. Tea room/farm shop is decent. Friendly site
Disliked Showers could be improved. Electric grass pitch we were on was quite sloped (but managable)

Great site with everything you could need!

Liked Despite being a relatively big site it was so peaceful! It had everything that we needed, plenty of drinking water taps, full facilities, and the staff were really helpful and kind. Perfect for us as a family with 2 young children as the location is fantastic for accessing attractions around Devon. It was also great value for what you get!
Disliked The showers were relatively basic and could have done with a bit of mould/mildew spray or a regrout.
The electric hook up on the pitch next door was broken and they had connected to ours; luckily the staff had a splitter but would have been useful to attach one prior to arrival to stop us having to seek one out!
Also the pitch was quite bumpy underfoot as well as on a slope; it wasn't too much of an issue for us being a relatively young family but wouldn't be great for anyone less mobile

Liked Staff were friendly.
Good location.
Nice that they had a choice to glamp or stay in older caravans.
Disliked Pitches were on a slope and very close together.
Not enough showers and toilets, could do with a bit of work to make them nicer and cleaner.

Liked We where already on the site and decided to take an extra night .
This was due to the events on site earlier in the week see the dislike part below .
Site has great facilities clean basic but good. outstanding views close to Sidmouth seaton Honiton
Disliked Large group of people 4.5 tents music all might long spoiled most of our holiday but once they went the site was perfect so took an extra night
Site should review music policy to stop at 6pm not 11 as its was going on late most nights and make sure its kept too

Liked Lovely flat pitch, close to the trees so out Boxer had some shade from the sun. Lots of fellow campers on the site, but it never felt busy or noisy. Went to the Swallows Rest for a drink, we recommend the Otter Amber 🍻. The facilities were totally adequate, and never had to queue. We met the owners, who a lovely couple and nothing was too much trouble for them. We also liked the free washing machine to launder your clothes.
