Sea, surf and spectacular views – the deal at Sandy Acres Campsite sounds pretty good already, right? But there’s another element that might make it extra sweet, and that’s its dog-friendly nature. Four-legged guests (on a lead) are welcome – and not just on site, but also at the nearby beach, a vast expanse of golden sand also named Sandy Acres (five minutes’ walk, just beyond the Hayle Sand Dunes). As well as its splendid and convenient location, this pleasant site has a relaxed, low-key vibe. That doesn’t mean, however, that there are no perks here. True, there is no electric hook-up (though the owners will be happy to charge your mobile phone in the office), but there are several toilets, hot-water showers and a washing-up area (no hot water there, though). And while there's no fridge to store your grillable items, there is a freezer for your ice packs, plus a small café serving drinks and smoothies. For anything else, the nearest shop is just under a mile away, or you can head into Hayle town (10 minutes’ drive) for supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. With the practical aspects of your holiday taken care of, all you need to do is relax and take advantage of the site’s facilities, which include a surf school (catering to all levels) and equipment hire (from bodyboards and surfboards to wetsuits), plus yoga sessions, which take place on the beach (or in a wooden hut if the weather takes a turn).

This is a quiet campground/park: no music is allowed.

Unpowered grass tent or motorhome site (super)

Liked Great facility’s, amazing location, lovely and quiet at night with amazing views, extremely easy access to the beach about a 5 min trek down the dunes with a cafe at the top (Speaking of the beach it’s incredible) also st Ives and Hayle is a short drive away, would also like to thank the staff for being so incredibly nice and hospitable would definitely stay here again
