What customers say
Spacious grounds, friendly staff, and a chilled vibe are big hits, with fire pits and a food truck popular. Some find facilities basic, and airplane noise is mentioned, alongside occasional upkeep issues. Great for exploring local sights.

Farm field unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely friendly atmosphere and great, reasonably priced, catering available. Quiet, especially during the week, and lots of wildlife (saw bats, owls, rabbits and foxes).
Disliked Beware the very brazen fox and make sure all food is secured!

From the manager: Hi Rachel,
Thanks so much for your review. We're so pleased you had a great time!
We are currently thinking of ways to dissuade the naughty fox. Hopefully it will get board soon and move onto pastures new!
A great first experience of camping.
Farm field unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Family feel, bbq zone, woods with rope swings, live music, wagon wheel food van, location, helpful lady (and good cook) in wagon wheel, play area for kids, books and toys available to borrow and helpful advice on where to go locally/takeaways etc. Had a good time and first experience of camping.
Disliked Showers a bit hit and miss for temperature and water pressure. Soap not available at toilet sinks for a day. Told they were not happy about me overpaying due to number of guests staying on booking being reduced and said they would do something but then didn’t. Disappointing given they offered. Wasps were out of control, chased us everywhere and got stung!

From the manager: Hi Keely,
Thanks so much for your review.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your first camping stay.
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with the numbers booked, however, our policy is to not refund within 1 week of your stay. I'm not sure who advised that we could offer a refund but we will make sure all staff are reminded of the refund policy. Also, sorry to hear about you getting stung. Our pest controller has been managing wasp and hornet nests when we find them.

Great location as lots of interesting places to visit near by.
Farm Field unpowered grass campervan site
Liked Meet & greet was super, friendly, easy efficient.
The field was great, lots of space. Toilets were clean, loads of toilet paper. Showers were fabulous, hot water, good water pressure. Kitchen sink was clean and plenty of hot water too.
Felt safe, gate locked at night.
Disliked Lots of rubbish left all around the edge of the field. Felt an occasional litter pick would have been good. I picked up lots of wet wipes that had been thrown away around the edge, assuming someone couldn’t be bothered to walk to the loo.
Rather a lot beer bottles & lids thrown in the undergrowth but was visible due to it being so dry.
Also large bits of waste plastic the size of bin lids (you couldn’t miss them), rope and unidentifiable bits of rubbish strewed around the field, not left by campers, obviously the farms bits and bobs left laying around the field.

From the manager: Hi there,
Thanks for your review.
We are so please that you enjoyed the field, toilets, showers and site safety.
Our apologies that litter had been missed around the edge of the field. We have had a good litter pick last weekend to get rid of anything in the surrounding hedges and bushes. We will pass on your comments about farm bits and bobs to the farmer, however, the field itself remains clear of rubbish.
We look forward to welcoming you back next year!

Nice campsite
Farm field unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked The entertainment/band on Saturday night were great, we really enjoyed it. Showers and toilets were basic but clean and perfectly functional. Nice big field with plenty of room, The food wagon was good. Watching the airplanes flying overhead was good but sometimes a little noisy, although it didn't bother us. The safety arrangements put in place for cooking as the ground was extremely dry were good. This meant everyone could still cook their food they had brought with them.

Absolutely perfect, will be back!
Pond field unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Stupendous camping, the pond field is definitely the best one but the staff were super helpful, well priced food and excellent location, not too busy even in good weather, with a variety of pitch types and tree coverage, etc, in a beautiful area with great facilities

Good location. Facilities left a lot to be desired
Farm Field unpowered grass campervan site
Liked Location was convenient
Disliked Toilet seats missing in many toilets and very few incredibly basic showers.

From the manager: Hi Lorna,
Thanks for your review.
You mention many toilet seats were missing, however, it is just the one, which serves well as a urinal. The other 5 in the field you stayed in are with a toilet seat and well maintained.
You also mention the showers, which we get many compliments for. I'm sorry they weren't to your liking, however, they are bespoke showers, which are again well maintained, with hot water.
Please can I stress the accuracy when reviewing as this does affect businesses and we pride ourselves on providing a great service. We would prefer to speak with customers when on site, to address any concerns- which can then be looked into.
All the best.
