A well-kept, friendly spot, great for a stopover near the M6. Clean facilities, thoughtful extras, and spacious pitches are highlighted. Some note road noise and older amenities, but most guests rave about their stay and plan to come back.

I liked everything about this site.…

Liked I liked everything about this site. The electric tent pitches were spacious level which is great. The facilities were lovely and clean, absolutely spotless. Utility room was very well equipped with everything you need for washing dishes, fridge and freezer. Kettle and teabags, coffee sachets, milk, sugar, disposable cups. Assorted biscuits. Also a great variety of games and reading books. There were toiletries in the showerrooms too. I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again and I would definitely recommend it. Fantastic stay
Disliked The only thing I wasn't keen on was how small the toilet doors are. Someone tall could definitely peek over top of door but it did not spoil my stay.

Comodo, pulito ma wc/docce vecchie
Powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Facile da raggiungere, curato, pulito, personale cordiale.
Disliked WC e docce vecchie, troppo vecchie per il 2026 e per uno stato come UK. Inoltre non c'era lo scarico per le acque grigie.

From the manager: Thank you Francesco. We are happy to hear you found the park clean, well-kept and easy to reach, and that you felt welcomed. We understand your comments about the toilets and showers - they are not modern, but we do keep them spotless and in good working order. We appreciate your feedback and hope the rest of your stay was enjoyable.

Disliked Rain and midges!

From the manager: Thank you Andrew, it means a lot to hear you have been stopping on High Gaitle for years and have seen how we have progressed and improved. We are glad the space, facilities and dog-friendly setup works well for you. I wish we could control the weather and midges - but sadly those two refuse to negotiate! We are happy the park itself made for a good stay, you are always welcome back!
A Good Camping Stop
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked The summary, i what they have on the advert. It's nothing special, but they do the basics really well!
Toilets/Shower block is clean, functional, tidy & has Care products in all areas.
The site is easily laid out and there's enough space between pitches.
The location is just off the Motorway, but not so close you can hear it as a prevalent noise.
Disliked Not the fault, or under control of the site - but worth noting. the main road it is based off is a main A road, and national speed limit. So HGV's, and faster Vehicles can be heard for quite a distance in either direction of the site. So if you are planning to chill on site, it may not be as peaceful as you think.
Otherwise, no negatives directly about the site & what is under control of the owners.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the facilities clean and practical - we put a lot of care into keeping everything tidy and easy to use. The A-road is definitely one of those things we can't change, but we appreciate you mentioning it honestly. We are really glad the rest of your experience was a good one, and we would love to see you back.

From the manager: Thanks so much for your review. Its great to know everything felt clean and well stocked during your stay. The grey waste area can fill quickly at busy times, but we are on it and making sure it is emptied more regularly. We would love to see you back in the future.
