What customers say
This well-kept site has roomy pitches, super-clean facilities and lots of thoughtful touches, like free toiletries and hot drinks. Reviewers rave about the friendly, helpful staff, its primo spot for stopovers or exploring, and the chill vibe, even with a bit of road noise. A secure dog run's a big hit too. Some reckon the loos are a bit old-fashioned, but always spotless.

Liked Great site close to Gretna we were given a choice of pitches on arrival given a very informed intro as to where everything was to be found also told we could wait outside the main entrance and hail down the bus to take us into Carlisle which we did and the bus driver stopped outside on the return journey very quiet site even with the road being close ,great place if your heading north or south

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review, Allan. We’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the park quiet, clean and well located for exploring Gretna and beyond.
It’s great to hear the welcome you received was helpful — we always try to make sure guests know exactly where everything is, and we're chuffed to know the bus tip came in handy. The Carlisle bus stopping right outside really does make a day out easy.
We’re delighted the pitch choice, peaceful atmosphere and motorway convenience all worked perfectly for your trip north. And thank you for sharing that you had no dislikes, that means a lot to us.
You’re always welcome back whenever you’re in the area.

Liked Location, lovely and clean, lots of local amenities.
Perfect for us as I stop on our way home but we decided to use this site again as our mid stop when visiting Scotland.
Disliked If I had to say something we could hear a little road noise, but we picked it as it was near to the M6. So still perfect for us.

It’s great to know we’ve become your regular mid‑way stop when travelling to and from Scotland. That’s exactly what we hope to offer: an easy, comfortable break close to the M6, with plenty of local amenities nearby.
We appreciate your note about the light road noise too. As you say, it comes with being so close to the motorway, but we’re glad it didn’t take away from your stay and that the convenience outweighed it for you.
Thanks again for choosing High Gaitle. We’d be delighted to welcome you back on your next trip north.

Lovely site
Powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Nice level pitches, lovely quiet site, great for walking the dogs. Toilets and showers really clean, as is the site.
Good for exploring Gretna green etc. Or just as a stop off overnight as conveniently close to motorway.
Disliked Some road noise (didn't bother us at all, but may bother some people )
Could do with a larger area for motorhome grey water disposal.
