High Gaitle Caravan Park

Was worried about the forecaster 37mph winds but the sits is surrounded by trees keeping the wind to a minimum!
Lovely small peaceful site perfectly located for what we needed - a trip to walby farm park (20mins away) a shopping trip to Carlisle (20mins away) and a wee 5min trip to Gretna for food supplies!
Facilities are beautiful, with added wee extras - ice poles, tea/coffee making stuff!
Little tree swings was an added bonus for my wee 1! Met on arrival, made to feel very welcome and pitch was a fab size!!

A aimé Great level pitch, close to amenities. Amenities dated but clean, with plenty of hot water.

A aimé We liked the cleanliness. For example, the showers and toilets were clean. I must say the land and the whole park were clean, as well, with the grass nicely cut.

A aimé 5 minutes drive from the M6 so ideal stop off point on way to scotland. Very spacious site, great facilities, always clean and well stocked up, owner very helpful and pleasant and always wondering round keeping the place perfect.

We’re really pleased the park worked perfectly as a stop‑off on your way to Scotland. Hearing that you found it spacious, with great facilities that were always clean and well stocked, genuinely means a lot to us. A aimé Ideal stop over on our way to Lossiemouth. Super friendly and helpful staff. Wash block exceptionally clean. Huge off lead dog field. Lastly, I’ve never been to a site that has free tea, coffee, biscuits and ice pops in the kitchen area, what an absolute gem! Highly recommend.

A aimé Spacious campsite, good facilities, everything you could need. Great sized dog exercise area! This is my second time here! I’ve used it twice as a stop over on my long drives and it’s been great.

N'a pas aimé BEWARE of the midges!!! Obviously nothing can be done about this but something to know about beforehand to make sure sprays etc are packed!!

A aimé Complimentary icepops( the kids) tea and coffee and biscuits and wash stuff. Friendly staff and generally quiet.

N'a pas aimé Bins in toilets not always emptied quick enough . Shower cubicles quite small and oddly high off ground.
