What customers say
Great staff, clean facilities & close to Beamish. Some pitches uneven. Paid Wi-Fi mixed reviews. Mostly peaceful, but some weekend noise (kids, seasonal pitches) & occasional unsupervised kids noted. Well-maintained and secure overall.

Wouldn't go back
Fully-serviced gravel and concrete caravan site
Liked Shower and toilet blocks very clean
Disliked Pitches were very small and very close together. The pitches were very uneven and bad to get into roads very narrow and badly lit up at night. The chemical disposal needs up dated and pipe on the tap

Pleasant site great for families but not peaceful
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Close enough to Beamish Museum to walk (Main reason for stay). Facilities were clean and bar area was a nice potentially recently renovated area.
Disliked Fair enough it was the last bank holiday of the year and school holidays however there was a constant stream of kids and adults for that matter constantly using the pitch as a cut through to the play area and toilets. The site was also much noiser than most as the bar/club closed late evening the noise continued for a good hour afterwards.

Not a relaxing break
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Clean toilet and shower facilities. Great location for Beamish Museum and there’s some fantastic woodland walks.
Disliked Very noisy site! Lots of unsupervised children, knocking on caravan doors and running away and taking out the electric hook ups from motor homes etc.
The pitch we were allocated was not suitable for a touring caravan, it was an absolute nightmare getting onto the pitch and we wouldn’t have been able to without our motor mover. There was nowhere to leave our car either.
The pitch we were allocated was right next to the path for the toilets and people stood chatting outside our caravan until 3am. People smoking cannabis out of their caravan windows in the middle of the day.
Not the site for us.

Liked The toilet and shower facilities were good. About 30min walk to Beamish museum l, but very hilly walk.
Need your levellers as grass pitches are on slopes.
Disliked £10 deposit for barrier pass to get in and out, which means you can't leave until reception is open.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and for your kind comments regarding our toilet and shower facilities.
We’re sorry you felt the £10 barrier pass deposit was inconvenient. However, we’d just like to clarify that guests are not required to wait until reception opens to leave the park. There is a post box available for returning the swipe card when you depart, and once the card is returned, your £10 deposit is refunded.
We hope this clarifies things for future guests, and we’re pleased you enjoyed your stay overall.
Brilliant few nights away
Powered grass site
Liked Toilet and shower block is really well maintained and kept clean.
Site in general is really lovely.
Bar onsite is brilliant.
All staff were really nice.
We had a great time here and will be back
Disliked Fri and sat nights were both quite noisy and children playing on the park until about 1030 with no sign of any security staff challenging people for being noisy late into the night unlike other sites we’ve been to.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your lovely review and for all your kind comments! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the site, facilities, bar and found our staff friendly. It’s fantastic to hear you had a great time and will be back!
We’re sorry you found the site noisy on Friday and Saturday evenings. We are a family-friendly holiday park, so during busy weekends the site can be more lively, particularly with children enjoying the play area.
Our staff do walk around the site throughout the day and evening and do monitor the area, although unfortunately they cannot be present in the play area 24/7.
We really appreciate your feedback and will continue to do our best to ensure everyone can enjoy their stay while being considerate of other guests.
Thank you again for staying with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back! 😊
