Mi è piaciuto Fab facilities - immaculately clean and heated. Children loved the playground & ball games area and happily played with other children on site. We didn’t visit the onsite bar this time but will def check it out next time we visit. Fantastic location close to Beamish museum, causey arch and numerous village pubs.

Non mi è piaciuto The grass are next to the hardstanding was quite sloped for sitting outside but the hardstanding seemed fairly level.

Mi è piaciuto Nice site with plenty of amenities that were really well designed. I was a little late to check in due to traffic, but arrangements had been made so I could collect my gate pass and info pack.

Mi è piaciuto Very near to Beamish open air museum, a 5 minute drive i'd say.
Very quiet campsite outside of the school holidays in lovely surroundings.
The road to the park states unsuitable for caravans, but thats the only road in, dread to think if you met another fellow caravanner coming the other way, very bumpy and lots of bends.

Non mi è piaciuto Our pitch was a fully serviced pitch but there was no drain for the water unlike the others. The pitch we were on was very uneven, we struggled to get the van level.

We’re sorry to hear you had difficulty with your pitch. Just to clarify, all of our fully serviced pitches have their own drainage point, fresh water connection and EHU. We’re therefore unsure why the drainage point wasn’t visible or accessible on your pitch, but we would have been happy to assist had you mentioned this during your stay.

We’re also sorry to hear you found the pitch uneven and had difficulty getting your van level.

Regarding the access roads, the signs you refer to are advisory signs. We are situated in a rural countryside location, so the surrounding roads are country roads and can be narrow, winding and uneven in places. We provide a recommended route to the park via Junction 67 of the A1, which avoids the road with the advisory sign you mentioned. Had you followed the recommended route via J67, you would not have encountered this particular sign.

Non mi è piaciuto We had to pay for WiFi. £3.50 (per device)per day for 3 devices.

I could not get a service on 02 or EE. (I had a mobile router.)

I expect the site to provide WiFi, especially in these circumstances or tell you there will be extra costs up front.

We’re sorry to hear you experienced issues with your mobile signal and Wi-Fi. We would just like to clarify that we do not advertise Wi-Fi as being free or included with your stay. The Wi-Fi service is provided by a third-party company, which is why there is a charge per device.

As we are situated in a rural countryside location, mobile phone signal and internet coverage can unfortunately be limited, as is often the case in rural areas. We understand this can be frustrating, particularly when you rely on a mobile router, but unfortunately this is outside of our control.
