  • Laidback pop-up site on a coastal Lincolnshire farm
  • 10 minutes’ walk to sandy beaches; 10 miles from Skegness
  • Family- and dog-friendly site with plenty of space to run around
Wake up a short wander from the Lincolnshire coast with a stay at Creekside Family Camping in Anderby. This site is 10 minutes’ walk from the beach at Anderby Creek and about 20 minutes’ walk from Wolla Bank, with the added bonus of being surrounded by the wildlife haven of the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park. The family has farmed this land for three generations and are happy to share insider tips on where to go and what to do when you visit. If it's traditional seaside shenanigans you're after – fairgrounds, arcades, donkey rides and all the rest – Ingoldmells and Skegness are along the coast within about 20 minutes’ drive. Roll up at this relaxed site and chose your own pitch on the meadow, surrounded by mature hedges and trees. It’s family and dog-friendly with plenty of space to run around and play with a separate field for ball games. If you need provisions or fancy an easy bite to eat, there’s a bar and restaurant, café and general store by the beach at Anderby Creek. Firepits, wood and kindling are available on site and you’re welcome to set up a small campfire so you can gather round, sit back and enjoy the huge Lincolnshire skies. The stars at night are usually quite something, and there's only minimal interference from the fairy lights around the place (a torch is a handy thing to have though…). This may be a pop-up site but it's got the vibe of a glamping setup, all decked out with bunting and pretty decorations. Guests have access to proper ceramic flushing loos, a portable shower block with proper showers, drinking water points, a washing-up area, phone charging point, freezer for ice blocks and a dog wash.

What customers say

Beautiful, tidy site with spacious spots and great facilities, incl. a popular dog run. Loved the peaceful vibe, friendly staff & beach proximity. Food/bar a bonus. Minor shower temp quirks, but highly recommended & guests will return!

Liked Good pitch sizes. On site cafe which opened for breakfast was fantastic. Didn't use fire pit offering, but nice to have option and would likely use if staying again.

Disliked Toilets in tent field tinny which made wrangling my toddler when she needed to go a logistical challenge. Also only one of the mens toilets had a lock.

Liked Site was very clean and tidy. Loved the honest box for logs/fire wood & any thing else was a great idea. About 15 minutes walk to the beach. And the fish and chips were some of the best I've had on the East Coast. We will definitely be going back later this year

Liked Beautifully maintained and well thought out site.We were bit unsure how we would find it as we normally stay on much smaller sites but we found it really spacious. We’ll consider paying the extra and stay on he Grove area another time it looked really special and worth the extra. Good walks from the site. Loved the fire pits but didn’t try one as it was quite windy during our stay. The site facilities were very clean during our stay and were cleaned daily, not sure what this is like a busy times, that will depend on other users

Liked Ideal location for getting to site and then to the beach, clean facilities and plenty of them, nice and quiet, only marking down as off season so bar and food stalls closed but can imagine when they’re open it’s a lovely place to have a sundowner

Disliked Didn’t seem to receive any arrival instructions so took a bit longer to work out where was meant to pitch up but worked out fine

Local attractions

The wild sand dunes of Anderby Creek beach are a 10-minute stroll away. In the summer it splits into dog-free and dog-friendly areas, so there’s space for everyone. More beachy gems within 10 minutes’ drive include Huttoft, Wolla Bank, Marsh Yard, Chapel Six Marshes and Chapel Point. Holiday big-hitters Ingoldmells (10 minutes’ drive) and Skegness (20 minutes) are filled with all the attractions you’d expect from a traditional British seaside resort and have enough to keep the whole family happy whatever the weather. There’s more family fun to be had in Mablethorpe at Lincolnshire Aqua Park (20 minutes) with pedalos, paddleboarding, kayaks and a giant floating assault course for the more adventurous. Keen walkers should connect up with the Lincolnshire Coastal Path; a 20-mile walk from Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve in Skegness past the site to Mablethorpe. Birders will want to check out Anderby Coastal Grazing Marsh too (two minutes’ walk). And if the lure of the coast isn’t enough, there are also walking routes inland around the Lincolnshire Wolds and Hubbards Hills (30 minutes' drive).
