Wake up a short wander from the Lincolnshire coast with a stay at Creekside Family Camping in Anderby. This site is 10 minutes’ walk from the beach at Anderby Creek and about 20 minutes’ walk from Wolla Bank, with the added bonus of being surrounded by the wildlife haven of the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park. The family has farmed this land for three generations and are happy to share insider tips on where to go and what to do when you visit. If it's traditional seaside shenanigans you're after – fairgrounds, arcades, donkey rides and all the rest – Ingoldmells and Skegness are along the coast within about 20 minutes’ drive. Roll up at this relaxed site and chose your own pitch on the meadow, surrounded by mature hedges and trees. It’s family and dog-friendly with plenty of space to run around and play with a separate field for ball games. If you need provisions or fancy an easy bite to eat, there’s a bar and restaurant, café and general store by the beach at Anderby Creek. Firepits, wood and kindling are available on site and you’re welcome to set up a small campfire so you can gather round, sit back and enjoy the huge Lincolnshire skies. The stars at night are usually quite something, and there's only minimal interference from the fairy lights around the place (a torch is a handy thing to have though…). This may be a pop-up site but it's got the vibe of a glamping setup, all decked out with bunting and pretty decorations. Guests have access to proper ceramic flushing loos, a portable shower block with proper showers, drinking water points, a washing-up area, phone charging point, freezer for ice blocks and a dog wash.

A ripper spot! Clean, roomy sites, top-notch facilities (hot showers, dunny's sorted). Short stroll to the beach, staff are legends. Great for families & doggos, with a chill vibe, fire pits, and a dedicated dog patch. On-site tucker & bar's a bonus. Watch out for the occasional queue during busy spells, though.

Liked It was quiet so we didn’t have anyone else next to us and facilities weren’t busy

Disliked Not greeted on arrival and never saw any staff. Site layout was haphazard and there is a significant lack of signage, we found some facilities as we were about to leave that we hadn’t realised existed. They could make it much easier by providing more information.

Toilets and showers were acceptable but not exceptional. Could have been cleaner. Bins not emptied until overflowing. Shower was warm but not hot and has button control that needs pressing every 20 seconds. Due to lack of signage I had to open all the doors to see which were toilets and which were showers. One turned out to be a baby changing facility that people may never find.

Liked Everything.
The toilets/showers were brilliant. Private. Clean/tidy. Warm and hot water.
Location is stunning in itself and a well maintained area and then 10 min easy walk from a stunning beach. (You can hear the waves in the evening and as you drift to sleep)
Make sure you look up and appreciate the stars.
Check in was easy.
Quiet and beautiful.

Liked The site is spacious and very very clean good price I go regular and will be going again and have told others to go keep up the good work ps forgot to mention the shower very clean supply all shower gel shampoo and conditioner and a curtain not many have this and then your changing area gets wet keep it up see you soon

Local attractions

The wild sand dunes of Anderby Creek beach are a 10-minute stroll away. In the summer it splits into dog-free and dog-friendly areas, so there’s space for everyone. More beachy gems within 10 minutes’ drive include Huttoft, Wolla Bank, Marsh Yard, Chapel Six Marshes and Chapel Point. Holiday big-hitters Ingoldmells (10 minutes’ drive) and Skegness (20 minutes) are filled with all the attractions you’d expect from a traditional British seaside resort and have enough to keep the whole family happy whatever the weather. There’s more family fun to be had in Mablethorpe at Lincolnshire Aqua Park (20 minutes) with pedalos, paddleboarding, kayaks and a giant floating assault course for the more adventurous. Keen walkers should connect up with the Lincolnshire Coastal Path; a 20-mile walk from Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve in Skegness past the site to Mablethorpe. Birders will want to check out Anderby Coastal Grazing Marsh too (two minutes’ walk). And if the lure of the coast isn’t enough, there are also walking routes inland around the Lincolnshire Wolds and Hubbards Hills (30 minutes' drive).
