  • Laidback site on a coastal Lincolnshire farm near Anderby
  • 10 minutes’ walk to sandy beaches; 10 miles from Skegness
  • Family- and dog-friendly site with plenty of space to run around
Wake up a short wander from the Lincolnshire coast with a stay at Creekside Family Camping in Anderby. This site is 10 minutes’ walk from the beach at Anderby Creek and about 20 minutes’ walk from Wolla Bank, with the added bonus of being surrounded by the wildlife haven of the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park. The family has farmed this land for three generations and are happy to share insider tips on where to go and what to do when you visit. If it's traditional seaside shenanigans you're after – fairgrounds, arcades, donkey rides and all the rest – Ingoldmells and Skegness are along the coast within about 20 minutes’ drive. Roll up at this relaxed site and you'll be staying on a pretty meadow surrounded by mature hedges and trees. It’s family and dog-friendly with plenty of space to run around and play with a separate field for ball games. If you need provisions or fancy an easy bite to eat, there’s a bar and restaurant, café and general store by the beach at Anderby Creek. Firepits, wood and kindling are available on site and you’re welcome to set up a small campfire so you can gather round, sit back and enjoy the huge Lincolnshire skies. The stars at night are usually quite something, and there's only minimal interference from the fairy lights around the place (a torch is a handy thing to have though…). This may be a pop-up site but it's got the vibe of a glamping setup, all decked out with bunting and pretty decorations. Guests have access to proper ceramic flushing loos, a portable shower block with proper showers, drinking water points, a washing-up area, phone charging point, freezer for ice blocks and a dog wash.

What customers say

Spacious, level pitches, friendly staff and great facilities make Creekside a top pick. Spotless toilets, short beach walk, free fire pits and charging points are big pluses. Food and dog-friendliness get good reviews. Minor gripes about water temp and signs fade against loads of happy campers keen to come back.

Pick your non-electric grass pitch

Liked Plenty of choice in the pick your own pitches - coupled with well kept site and stunning sunsets.

Our second year there camping and will be back again

Facilities for perfect for showers and toilets - normal from what you expect when you have had a day at the beach which is short walk away.

Site is friendly, owners amazing and 10pm the site goes quiet and calm ready for settling down which is lovely, mornings are also calm and quiet so no issues sleeping

Close enough to head to busier beaches for takeaways, arcades etc but Anderby Beach with its small shop and cafe had everything we needed after our time on the beach - icecreams and drinks. Toilets at the beach aswell with a tap 🚰 to wash feet and the campsite has installed a shower for the same which is a good touch

Disliked There wasn’t anything I disliked

Electric grass pitch

Liked I liked the camp site, it was clean and all the other campers were friendly, I enjoyed the pub and the music! It made a nice change to have that on site.

Disliked I disliked the toilets and the shower, they run out of toilet paper regular and the hot water was very hot and miss they weren't cleaned regularly and you often had to clean the showers before you could get in them !!

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked I had a lovely big pitch, the site was nicely maintained, the lovely little bar etc was a bonus, and the visiting fish and chip van and pizza van were a great idea, the fish was the best I have had in ages. I loved the proximity to the dunes and beach.

Disliked There should be more toilets and showers for such a lot of visitors. Also the ladies loos ran out of toilet paper for several hours.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Everything, they had thought of everything to make our stay just easy. On-site laundry, food vans, bar, bats and balls etc. highly recommend this site. We will be back. The site was silent by 10pm every night. Lovely family site with immaculate facilities. My recommendation for anyone that likes a lay in the mornings is to ask to be away from the road, it’s not unpleasant but the pitches are separated by just a high hedge so you get the odd bit of noise in the mornings. Nothing major and certainly wouldn’t put me off returning, but I’m sure they’d accommodate that request.

Disliked Nothing

Local attractions

The wild sand dunes of Anderby Creek beach are a 10-minute stroll away. In the summer it splits into dog-free and dog-friendly areas, so there’s space for everyone. More beachy gems within 10 minutes’ drive include Huttoft, Wolla Bank, Marsh Yard, Chapel Six Marshes and Chapel Point. Holiday big-hitters Ingoldmells (10 minutes’ drive) and Skegness (20 minutes) are filled with all the attractions you’d expect from a traditional British seaside resort and have enough to keep the whole family happy whatever the weather. There’s more family fun to be had in Mablethorpe at Lincolnshire Aqua Park (20 minutes) with pedalos, paddleboarding, kayaks and a giant floating assault course for the more adventurous. Keen walkers should connect up with the Lincolnshire Coastal Path; a 20-mile walk from Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve in Skegness past the site to Mablethorpe. Birders will want to check out Anderby Coastal Grazing Marsh too (two minutes’ walk). And if the lure of the coast isn’t enough, there are also walking routes inland around the Lincolnshire Wolds and Hubbards Hills (30 minutes' drive).
