What customers say
Riverside spot with pub, spacious sites & peaceful vibe. Toilets/showers are dated, poorly maintained and sometimes unclean. Car needed for Tewkesbury access. Despite this, many enjoyed the location and stay.

Liked Location for walking and pub. Randomly enough fantastic quality loo roll!
Disliked I never tend to give bad reviews and always try to be positive in order to be considerate to the owner. I have to say this is probably the first campsite I have negatively commented on. On this occasion I agree totally with the comments in other reviews about the facilities block and the general rundown nature of the site. The shower block was dirty, full of cobwebs and spiders which looked like they had been there forever. It costs nothing to clean properly, in fact even to leave a bucket and mop of clean disinfectant helps campers clean for the next person. There was an inch of brown water in the bucket in the ladies which would have made the floor dirtier than it was to start with! While times are hard at the moment and maintenance expensive there is a duty by the owner to make areas safe and clean for visitors, particularly if you are going to charge £30 a night for a stay. There were 9 pitches in use while we were there, a reasonable sum of money taken for one night, surely some of that should be put back in to maintaining the site. The wooden decked steps to the shower block and washing up area were collapsing and covered in mats to hide this. The water taps for drinking from around the site were situated on concrete posts which had green slime dripping down them, making us wonder if it was even safe to drink the water from the taps? Would that have ever been tested? On the same post there was an electric light which didn’t work, this seemed to have water dripped around it, probably why it wasn’t working. All in all not very safe! If you walked outside the toilet block after flushing a toilet in the ladies, the chemical disposal point outside the toilet block started gurgling and there was a flow of liquid that I could only guess as sewage running down the path. It’s very sad to see how run down it’s become when you compare it to photos from years ago. It looked to be a cracking little site. When you compare it to photos from four years ago it’s equally sad to see that no maintenance has been carried out, it looks identical or perhaps it even looks a little worse.

By the river and next to…
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked By the river and next to a nice friendly pub which serves lovely food. Free WIFI. Short drive into Tewkesbury, which was nice.
Disliked The shower block was very much in need of repair and a good clean. Rotten floor boards were covered by plastic mats. Although the grass was cut, there was rubbish throw around the perimeter and trees and weeds needed cutting back. We booked and paid for two weeks and didn’t even manage one! This is by far the worst site we have stayed at and we wouldn’t return, which is a shame as it has such potential - with a bit of handy work and a good clean up it could be a lovely site.

Absolutely fantastic location. The river Severn…
Powered grass and gravel caravan site
Liked Absolutely fantastic location. The river Severn is a 2 minute walk and the pub is even less. I'd recommend this site to anyone. But the facilities do need a bit of an upgrade. All that said if you dont mind basics, then it'll tick all your boxes.
The manager, Mark was really helpful, we had a puncture on day of departure and he let me use his tools to change the wheel. Great service. 👍
Disliked Just the facilities upgrade needed.
