Liked Location for walking and pub. Randomly enough fantastic quality loo roll!
Disliked I never tend to give bad reviews and always try to be positive in order to be considerate to the owner. I have to say this is probably the first campsite I have negatively commented on. On this occasion I agree totally with the comments in other reviews about the facilities block and the general rundown nature of the site. The shower block was dirty, full of cobwebs and spiders which looked like they had been there forever. It costs nothing to clean properly, in fact even to leave a bucket and mop of clean disinfectant helps campers clean for the next person. There was an inch of brown water in the bucket in the ladies which would have made the floor dirtier than it was to start with! While times are hard at the moment and maintenance expensive there is a duty by the owner to make areas safe and clean for visitors, particularly if you are going to charge £30 a night for a stay. There were 9 pitches in use while we were there, a reasonable sum of money taken for one night, surely some of that should be put back in to maintaining the site. The wooden decked steps to the shower block and washing up area were collapsing and covered in mats to hide this. The water taps for drinking from around the site were situated on concrete posts which had green slime dripping down them, making us wonder if it was even safe to drink the water from the taps? Would that have ever been tested? On the same post there was an electric light which didn’t work, this seemed to have water dripped around it, probably why it wasn’t working. All in all not very safe! If you walked outside the toilet block after flushing a toilet in the ladies, the chemical disposal point outside the toilet block started gurgling and there was a flow of liquid that I could only guess as sewage running down the path. It’s very sad to see how run down it’s become when you compare it to photos from years ago. It looked to be a cracking little site. When you compare it to photos from four years ago it’s equally sad to see that no maintenance has been carried out, it looks identical or perhaps it even looks a little worse.

Liked Great location. The site is a short walk away from the coast path and beach. The pitches and site are well maintained, and staff friendly and helpful.
We booked a large pitch so had no problem getting the caravan pitched but we noticed some other pitches would have been tight to get in to due to the proximity to other vehicles etc.
Other reviews have mentioned the toilets but we found them to be very clean and tidy. They are under renovation due to the paintwork on the toilet doors being chipped but this does not affect the cleanliness. We would definitely stay again.
Disliked No dislikes.

Liked Big pitches with a hedge between each for privacy. It was quiet when we stayed, so a really peaceful spot. It’s also well situated for towing a caravan to as the site isn’t far from the main road, that being said there isn’t much road noise. Very clean and well appointed shower block. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Liked Beautiful, really well thought out site in a stunning location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The facilities were absolutely immaculate and everything was very well looked after and managed.
Disliked Not exactly a dislike more a slight inconvenience. The toilets and showers were closed at around 9.30 every morning for usually 45 minutes for each block. It meant either getting up earlier or waiting for them to be finished. There is another block a short distance away but there were sometimes queues during this time. Once we got used to the timings it was manageable.

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your break with us. Unfortunately there really isn't an ideal time for us to close and clean our facilities, especially when it is so busy onsite. We do have a private family bathroom that is fob operated, this can be rented from reception for a refundable deposit of £20. We do hope to welcome you back sometime in the future. Liked We loved the spacious pitches and even better, we were allowed to choose from a selection of vacant pitches rather than being allocated a spot. We chose the quietest spot away from the children’s play area. We had stunning weather and watched beautiful sunsets. The facilities were lovely and clean. Farm shop is highly recommended. The steaks and fresh orange juice were fantastic.

Liked We loved the peace and quiet at the site and the surrounding areas. We have visited before and will definitely stay again. The views are stunning and the pitches are large and level with plenty of space. We also liked the grass pitches as so many sites are all gravel these days. The dog exercise area is great too and plenty of footpaths nearby to explore.

Liked Everything! The site itself is fantastic, really well thought out pitches and maintained beautifully. There is a first class toilet and shower block with separate men’s and ladies. This I particularly liked as so many are unisex these days. There is also a dishwashing area and laundry facilities. All absolutely spotless and very clean and cared for. We loved it so much we stayed an extra couple of days. There’s obviously lots to see and do in the surrounding area for walkers and cyclists alike and the site is close by to everything.

Liked The site was in lovely countryside with lots to do nearby and plenty of walks directly from the site. Quiet and peaceful even though it was busy and a bank holiday weekend. The toilets and shower are basic as other visitors stated in their reviews. They weren’t cleaned while we were there so if you are particular about this then this site wouldn’t be for you. We went on the basis that we were there to explore the area not worry about the facilities, just take your own loo roll!

Liked The site was well looked after and managed. We loved the great views, massive pitches and peace and quiet. Although other reviews have mentioned that there was a lack of toilets they were perfectly adequate and clean and we never had to queue. It’s really unusual these days to not hear road noise but this site ticks that box! Really big safe dog exercise field and lots of walks directly from the site too. We visited Ledbury which was a great town. Rare to see so many great shops and businesses on the high street these days. The Thai Plume of Feathers is a short walk away, is very welcoming and does really great food. Highly recommended!

Liked The site was very well managed and organised. We loved the beautiful location and views. It was very peaceful, other campers were very respectful and there was no noise from other pitches. Lots of great walks right from the site. If you wanted to explore by car we found Bakewell, although busy was worth a visit. The Pack Horse Inn in the village was really welcoming with great beer and fantastic food.

Liked The site is lovely and really peaceful, with lots of wild birds and owls at night. The established trees and shrubs around the pitches divide up the areas well giving a secluded feeling. Everywhere is clean and tidy and very well managed. The dog exercise area is massive and a walk around the fishing lake is recommended if you are able.

Liked We really enjoyed our stay, in fact so much so we went again the following weekend! We only live about an hour away so it’s handy for us yet far enough to feel like we’re exploring somewhere different. The site was very peaceful and tucked out the way but close enough to the main road to explore the surrounding area. The pitches are very generous and there is only 5 hook ups in the field we stayed in, so even if it was fully booked there would be plenty of space. We’ve stayed on other sites where you can barely park your car next to your tent or caravan they are so close together. We had read some critical reviews before booking but we were glad we disregarded them and chose to stay here. It’s fair to say that some folk have very high expectations, so if you want a site that’s regimented, signposted and polished within an inch of its life this won’t be for you. However if you just want a down to earth place to get away from it all Blagdon Farm is well worth a visit.
