What customers say
Amazing views, super friendly owners, and clean facilities. Peaceful spot with spacious pitches, great walks and pubs nearby. New showers are a plus, though expect queues in peak season. Farm animals a hit!

Beautiful camp site with gorgeous views
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked The views, the beautiful donkeys and the location. All perfect and a gorgeous site. We loved our stay.
Disliked There is a sign asking guests to be quiet from 10pm. A group of 5 males next to us were playing music and talking very late past midnight. I could hear every word said and my phone could even pick up the song being played. Not the owners fault however but maybe it needs to be made clearer the expectations from guests about noise.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked We found quite a flat pitch with amazing views. The toilets and other facilities were really clean and quite modern. Chatted to the host a little and she was very friendly. My children loved looking at the donkeys in the neighbouring field. Thanks for a great stay!
Disliked Very breezy because at the top of a hill, but obviously not the fault of the campsite!

Unpowered grass campervan site
Liked A lovely, simple campsite with everything we needed. The toilets and showers were clean and well maintained, and the views were absolutely fantastic. We especially loved having cows, donkeys, and sheep as our neighbours!
The location is perfect for exploring the Peak District. We walked to Mam Tor and Castleton directly from the campsite, and it was a fabulous hike with stunning scenery throughout.
The owner was very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We'd definitely recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful base with great walking routes and beautiful surroundings.

Well-priced, hassle-free, lovely campsite.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Plenty of space, hot showers, clean bathrooms.
Stephanie was responsive by email, and very friendly in person.
Loads of space for even big tents, and room to park right alingside your pitch (most of the week, the saturday of our stay was very busy, but still not cramped)
A really pleasant, stress-free campsite overall, we'd be happy to return
Disliked Not really a dislike on our part, but worth knowing before you go: the site is fairly exposed to the wind. The campers with poor quality or poorly set-up tents tended to find this out in the middle of the night!
