What customers say
Fabulous views and a grand spot for walks in the Peak District. Campers rave about the spotless loos, welcoming hosts and quiet vibe. A bit exposed for some, and queues at busy times, but upgrades are happening. Animal sightings are a big hit!

Pretty good
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Not many in campsite this early in the season so able to get a level pitch, but the main field is sloping. Toilets and Showers were fine
Disliked Bit of a farmyard smell. Quite exposed to the wind.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Very easy to get to by car. No staff on-site, which I liked as the process was simple. You can freely choose your spot and park your car right next to your tent.
Two large grass fields with plenty of personal space. The ground is mostly flat, with one side is a bit sloped.
Good local attractions nearby, though we enjoyed the site so much we didn't leave.
Several horses stayed on the farm next door. Very quiet and peaceful.
Strong mobile phone signal.
There are two toilets and two showers at the main building by the entrance, with another two toilets and washing sinks conveniently located near the pitches. All facilities were clean, in good condition, and well-stocked with toilet paper.
A fridge is also available, though we didn't need to use it.
Disliked Since it relies on self-discipline, some campers didn't flush the toilets, which was quite annoying.
Despite that, we were very satisfied with the stay and will definitely come back again!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Beautiful views with plenty of options to pitch up. Easy to park your car and have privacy. The facilities were great and always clean. Host was very welcoming, kind and attentive. Love the sounds of staying on the farm. Easy access to walks, views and the local village. Everything was very close by including the town of Buxton which has everything you need. We will be returning ❤️❤️

site to rowdy, owners can not control noisy campers.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked nice area
Disliked site to noisy, it felt like camping at a festival . booked for 2 nights only stayed for 1 . Group on site very loud with music blaring and shouting conversation until around 1am . The sites policies states to be respectfully quiet by 10pm till 6am , the owners didn't really do anything to reduce the noise , I called to complain they stated they will 'come , see and talk to them' but the music carried on then called again later and then immediately had my call rejected with no reply. So all respectful campers (some with children) had to bare with the noise because the owners could not bothered to go by the polices and happy to take the money.

From the manager: Thanks Daniel for taking time to leave a review,I’m sorry you didn’t have a very good experience at sweet knoll campsite but I did go over to the group three times during that evening to tell them to be quiet and be more respectful to others on the campsite, they did eventually listen even though it was late, the group were two families camping together including children so there was definitely not a festival going on.
It is really difficult to keep everyone happy and I can only try and make everyone’s stay enjoyable .

Didn't end up going but the owner was nice on the phone when I spoke
