Stunning scenery

May 2026

Liked We loved the scenery and stripped back camping experience. The portaloos were kept clean, site managed well and friendly staff who popped by on arrival.

Disliked Track on the way up to campsite very bumpy and tight. But not the campsite owners faults and the bumpy drive it worth it for the views you are rewarded with.

Liked We had a great stay! We were so pleased with our stay. The children loved it. They made friends and spent hours playing. We could relax as the campsite felt safe. One evening parents and children were invited by the owners to go on a fun 'bear hunt" walk and the kids loved doing this. The snack shack was super handy and great prizes. We recommend the waffles. The facilities were clean all the time and it was nice having a hot shower. Thanks for the great stay 10/10

Beautiful location, nature and nearby to many great places.

Aug 2024

Liked Location, scenery, nature, communal firepit for socialising.

Disliked No nearby place to unload car (difficult if you are staying a few nights with more camping gear, not so bad if its one night and only a couple of you). Only one portaloo. Communal firepit great idea but near to tent pitches so anyone who pitches nearby who wants an early night, might get disturbed.

From the manager: Thank you so much for visiting us on our opening weekend. We will endeavour to improve on any negative comments. We are happy to report that we will have better access in place next season. We hope that those who choose to pitch up near the firepit are understanding of those socialising, but we will mention this to guests on arrival from now on.

Stripped back, basic with beautiful scenery

Aug 2024

Liked We loved the scenic location with easy access to Whitby and many famtastic destinations across the Yorkshire Moors. We liked the communal fire pit - we made some friends as a result and easy access to local walking routes. The owners were friendly and happy to provide information and advice.

Disliked Unfortnatley not easy to unload and pack up all your camping gear because theres no way to get onto the ground to unload and parking is down the road. There was only one portaloo - this became unhygenic by the end of the weekend. The communal firepit was a great idea for socialising, unfortunatley its very near where tents can be pitched so if you want an early night this might difficult due to groups of people talking at the firepit.

Lovely location and farm with scenic trails near by.

May 2024

Liked We had a lovely stay at Seatoller Campsite. The campsite is smaller then some of the other campsites near by, this meant it was alot quieter in the evening and it felt more peaceful. Great for us as we are a family with children so sleep is important. The campsite was a short walk from the farm shop, pizza barn and local pub. All of these were fantastic. The farm shop sold cakes, scones, icecream, lamb burgers, gifts, coffee. It was a lovely little shop. The pizza barn was great. We has fresh pizzas on Saturday which were delicious. There are walks available directly from Seatoller in all directions. I didnt use my car for 2 days as we didnt need to due tp the fantastic choice of scenic trails. The site itself was clean and looked after. The toilets and washing station were cleaned daily. The campsite owners were super helpful and friendly.

Disliked Unfortunatley we didnt have a great choice to pitch lower down in the campsite where views were more visable as it was a bit to wet and boggy. This isnt the farms fault ad we have alot of rain. We opted on the nearest pitches to the toilet which were drier however it does mean you lose some of the open views of the valley. There wasnt a great deal of space for kids to play. They managed to find some small open places to play but they were quite near other peoples pitches which they didnt look pleased about, so we felt a bit restricted. However one evening we walked upto a huge field just over a foot bridge and made use of this space.

Great family fun but pitches could be improved

Aug 2021

Liked Facilities, swimming pool, lots to keep children entertained, short drive to lovely beaches in Newquay. The site is perfect for young children with plenty to do. We also loved how near it was to to beaches. Perranporth was amazing.

Disliked Loud noise at night, some tent pitches were poor quality. When we arrived we were given a pitch on the furthest plot away from the entertainment facilities. The pitch was horrendous, churned up mud and water. We have had better quality on a budget farm site. The 2nd pitch was better however we were placed by the building site behind the new swimming pool. It was an eye sore and the music was very loud at night. Despite this we might consider going again purely because the kids had so much fun.

Basic but charming country farm site, friendly owners & near Tintagel

Aug 2020

Liked We loved this campsite for its simplicity with a farm countryside feel overlooking fields as far as the eye can see. When the sun sets its lovely. The owner was friendly and went above and beyond offering to help set up tents, help people start bbqs and even was up in the night of a storm checking on the wellbeing of campers. You can have camp fires as long as they are off the ground using a pit or you can use a communal fire pit on site. You can buy bags of wood and kindling for £8 which burned well. There is outside water taps with hand wash and each private toilet port had hand sanitizer. You can use the outside farm buildings for shelter in the wind for cooking is you are struggling to start a fire. Finally, the lovely runner ducks and chickens were nice to watch each morning.
