Liked Met by a very friendly gentleman on reception who gave us the relevant information fir our visit. Nice pitches with a bit of shade from the very hot sun. Facilities clean and tidy. Just wish some people would leave the toilet as they'd wish to find it, use the toilet brush.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Facilities good, lounge with TV and kitchen tea coffee, washing machine fridge and freezer.
Tarmac site on pitches 1 to 11. But have read that it's open all year so this makes sense.
Taxi ride into Buxton cost around £10.
A walk to the local pub the Church Inn is about a 30 minute walk in the village of Chelmorton.
Disliked Motor bikes going past the site on a Sunday morning, not the campsites fault.

From the manager: Thankyou for your review. We are glad to read you enjoyed your stay and all the facilities we have to offer. We are open all year and find that hard-standing pitches are better (especially in the winter months). The road was busier than usual that weekend however glad to read you will visit again. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Liked Very nice site with good facilities and friendly helpful staff.
Toilets and showers are one of the best we have used on campsites, modern and immaculately clean.
The Boozy Box bar serves cans, bottles and spirits and I have to say the prices are really good, other sites we have been on would be charging 40 to 50% more.
Overall a pleasant weekend with canal and riverside walks a plenty and finished off at the Boozy Box!!

Liked Location was nice short walk to two beaches. Can walk all the way into New Quay.
Site is lovely and clean and well kept. The owners are very friendly and will run you into New Quay for £1 donation per person.
Bar was open on two of the three nights we were there, nice little bar with outside seating but there is a covered area with heaters if needed.
Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay, plenty of walks. Would definitely return.

Electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Nice well kept site, all staff very friendly. The lad on reception when we arrived was very helpful, giving us pointers to local trains, buses, taxis and pubs.
Toilets and showers are clean and tidy. There is an older block with toilets and shower cubicles or the newer ones with everything in one space.
Local pubs within a couple of minutes walk are the Cross Inn and The Overlander. Both do food, the Cross was very busy when we went and couldn't serve us so we ate at the Overlander which was very nice.
Good walk along the beach into Tenby, which to is about 40 minutes at a stroll.
Definitely would stay again if in the area.

Liked The welcome from Sue on arrival was nice, showed us around, which pitches we could choose, toilets and showers. A nice flat site.
The toilet and shower unit they have there were spotless and the showers stay on no having to keep pressing the button. The other toilets are basic but as Sue explained they get flooded by the river so that's why they are bssic but they're clean.
