What customers say

Idyllic, back-to-nature spot with plenty of space & lovely countryside views. Basic but clean facilities, perfect for those happy with simple pleasures. Great for peace, wildlife & walks like the Meon Valley Trail & South Downs Way. Village pub, shop & butcher just a short stroll away. Good value, though some mention sloping pitches needing ramps.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked Very peaceful and clean, good location for Portsmouth. We stayed here the night before an early ferry crossing so it was perfect.

Disliked No facilities but they did specify this beforehand so it’s to be expected.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked Brocklands is a little gem of a campsite for us, its location to the disused railway line now a great hiking in cycle route, that links you to the Southdowns Way and the Monarch Way, with the village of West Meon a lovely stroll 0.5 miles with its local store, quality butchers and great pub gives you all you need.

Local attractions

The tree-lined former railway line that runs next to Brocklands is an excellent starting point for rambles and cycle rides; a popular destination a couple of miles away is Old Winchester Hill, a nature reserve with an Iron Age Hill fort. is also very handy for the South Downs Way, for those who want to walk or pedal further afield. The Watercress Line heritage railway, which runs from New Alresford to Alton, is another lovely way to explore the Hampshire countryside; or if you prefer to stay put, you could always park yourself in a scenic spot at the Moorhen Trout Fishery up the road. For a fulfilling day trip, wend your way to winsome Winchester: if you’re lucky, you may catch the famous choir in action within the splendour of the 900-year-old cathedral; other visitor attractions in this charming and compact city include a range of excellent museums, castle ruins, and an Arthurian round table, plus fab restaurants and independent shops. Lively Chichester is another pleasant place to while away a day, or you could head to Portsmouth to take a harbour tour and visit the historic dockyards, where HMS Victory and the Mary Rose are among the naval exhibits on display.
