Fen Farm Caravan and Camping Site

This was our first time caravanIng and Fen Farm was the best site we could of gone to. The staff were fantastic! They were friendly and always there to help making everything stress free. The pitch’s are big making it easy for the inexperienced driver to park and giving us loads of room to muddle through setting up awnings etc ( eventually completed thanks to the common sense advice offered from one of the rangers). The site itself was immaculate, the toilet and shower facilities were the cleanest I’ve ever seen. The surroundings themselves were beautiful, the beach a few minutes walk and the country park just along the coast line. I can’t describe the magic of this place but technology was abandoned by my screen addicted grandchildren ( 9 and 11yrs) and they ran free. They played as kids used to play, they made full use of the play area made friends and even talked to each other! They occupied themselves for hours along the beach exploring searching for sharks teeth etc ( we did find a tiny one). There was a storm most of Saturday but we spent a lovely afternoon in our caravan just watching out as the wind fought with the sea, just chilling, chatting and playing card games which to be honest was priceless!
It was unfortunate that the weather during our weekend wasn’t great, there was so much more we could of done but I guess that gives us all the more reason to return!

Just a personal thing really and not a fault with the place at all. But there was a radio station played in the toilet/shower block which was great during the day. Having a overactive imagination however it did make me feel a little vulnerable when I had to go during the night in the sense of not being able to hear anything above the sound of it or be heard if need be.

Lots of space, clean facilities, friendly staff and great location

Could do with an undercover area for washing up dishes incase of rain and more sinks for that.

Friendly wardens. Well maintained grounds. Large, clean toilet and shower block - lovely hot showers! Very quiet. Close to the beach. Nice little playground.

How well kept the site is. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close to the beach and across the road to a dog friendly pub.

Everything, the friendly, helpful staff. The clean caravan park. The laundrette. The clean showers and toilets, (cleaned as per Covid rules). The layout of the site, the short walk to the beach. The shop on site, the lovely wardens, especially Dawn and John, who are just lovely. The owner Margaret who made sure my stay was going well in person.

Sometimes things go wrong, and this shows the strength of the staff. When faced with a problem, the staff dealt with it with no judgment or fuss, and were able to resolve it in a short time.

It is the little personal touches that put this caravan site ahead of any I have ever visited before. Thank you to all the staff. xx

Good for dog walking clean showers ,close to the beach

It says in write up its ten minutes to west mersea were no way possible as its four mile .

Well kept site, very clean toilet block, helpful staff. Conveniently located for walks to the beach in one direction and the pub in another!

Everything. Little gem of a site. So much so we have booked for next year. So peaceful and relaxing. Large pitches were great. Nearby pub very welcoming despite covid restrictions food there looked lovely too. Looking forward to staying again.
